Awww...so sad for Africa's hope. What a chance they had! Gyan could have shot Ghana to the semis with his penalty. :(

I am so sad for Ghana! They were so close. They really should've scored on that penalty.

Wow that was a crazy match.. and it's 5am here I'm wide awake!

But I have to say I have a problem with Suarez's purposely handball. That seemed... unsportsmanlike. Ghana was robbed!

:( Ghana players are devastated. Penalties are really dramatic and an amazing experience as part of football matches but itīs also so cruel.

That's why he was expelled and the penalty kick given to Ghana.
It's funny to think that he was the one that saved Uruguay....

Why? Suarez commited a faul, a serious one, and he got the worst possible punishment in football - a red card AND a penalty awarded for the other team! It was Gyan's fault that he couldn't capitalize on this, he HAD to score that penalty, but he let his nerves take the best of him. I am truly sorry for Ghana but they have no one to blame for this loss but themselves.

I wasn't going for either team, but to lose after all that. Oh, Ghana! :(

He really didn't have a choice - he saved his team from a certain goal and therefore defeat. He will miss their next game though but that is the price you pay...

You're right; there's no worse punishment he could have got; Ghana had the match and a place in the semi's on a plate, and they blew it ... unfortunately. :(

Agree. Uruguay will pay the price soon enough when they have to play against the Netherlands without Suarez.

What a freaking crazy and tense end. Happy for Uru given how long it's been for them, but I can imagine the heartbreak for Ghana.
