That's an old roster (Oct. 18) after Virtue/Moir's names were removed.

Posted on Oct. 22nd up thread:

Dance (http://isu.sportcentric.net/db//files/serve.php?id=2181)
Alessandrini/Vaturi (ITA) are crossed out of both of their events (Skate Canada and Skate America).
Arnold/Trojek (CAN) are host picks to Skate Canada that replace Virtue/Moir.

Not sure if Alessandrini/Vaturi will be replaced?

Because that entries list for Skate Canada has not been recently updated (it's from Oct 18). Notice at that link at this moment there are only 9 entries.
Arnold/Trojek (CAN) have been assigned to replace Virtue/Moir at Skate Canada.
see here: http://isu.sportcentric.net/db//files/serve.php?id=2181
Also, that old Oct. 18 list still has Alessandrini/Vaturi (ITA) assigned to Skate Canada, but they have been withdrawn (see PDF link above).

**************
Based on the ISU's Grand Prix standings webpages, the following replacement assignments have been made:

Pairs (http://www.isuresults.com/events/gp2010/gpspairs.htm)
Moore-Towers/Moscovitch (CAN) replace Martiusheva/Rogonov (RUS) at Skate Canada. M-T/M now have assignments to Skate Canada and Skate America.
Simpson/Miller (USA) replace Dube/Davison (CAN) at Skate Canada. S/M now have assignments to Skate Canada and Russia.
Once the Skate Canada entries lists are updated we should have confirmation of these two assignments.
ETA: D/D out of SC due to injury. (http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sports/more-sports/dube-and-davison-out-of-skate-canada/article1771743/)

Hecht/Trefil (HUN) replace Sulej/Chruscinski (POL) at TEB. (http://www.isuresults.com/events/cat00007101.htm) First GP assignment for Hecht/Trefil (#63 on SB list last season).

Dance (http://www.isuresults.com/events/gp2010/gpsdance.htm)
Coomes/Buckland (GBR) replace Alessandrini/Vaturi (ITA) at Skate America. C/B also were assigned to NHK.

No replacement named yet for Alessandrini/Vaturi (ITA) at Skate Canada. (Open spot)
Spot can go to any non-Canadian team on the alternates list, which is getting very short. This spot may go unfilled.

Dance Alternates List

Here's the season best list from 2009-10 for ice dance (http://www.isuresults.com/isujsstat/sb2009-10/sbtsdto.htm). Most of the remaining teams have split or competed as juniors on the JGP this season.

Moore-Towers/Moscovitch (CAN) to replace Dube/Davison (CAN) at Skate Canada (awaiting official confirmation/press release from Skate Canada).

Yes, but it seems the ISU GP Pairs standings page was updated after Oct. 22 (after the pairs concluded at NHK Trophy on Oct. 23) and some of us are assuming it contains the latest updates. That's why I posted re. Dube/Davison's possible withdrawal "(awaiting official confirmation/press release from Skate Canada)."

I'm surprised Skate Canada hasn't made any announcement yet. Even if just to clarify which list is correct.

Skate Canada has a press release on their page dated Oct 22nd that says D&D are competing. But who knows, I guess an injury could have happened after that.

It sucks that the Skate Canada event has now lost two of its headliners. :(

Or rather, it's AWESOME that Skate Canada has GAINED Moore-Towers/Moscovitch and Arnold/Trojek! :cheer: :biggrinbo:sheep:

(ok, I've never seen A/T, but I love when new teams get a shot)
