Brodeur/Mattatal got invited to NHK Trophy and are coming. So there will be 8 pairs!

Amazing news!

How did they manage to get the visa sorted so quickly?

Let's hope she wears her Santa's Little Helper outfit again! :cheer2:

I want to see HIM in an outfit which is as tight, skimpy and revealing as possible. :D :grope:

I wonder if Canadians even need visas in advance for Japan? I recall that Ben Ferreira got on a plane to Japan with something like 24 hours notice when Elvis Stojko withdrew from 2002 Worlds.

I see Martiusheva/Rogonov are out for Canada and Sulej/Chruscinski are out for France, does anyone know why? Or possible replacements...

Sulej and Chruscinski have split up. This is discussed in the Polish Skating thread in this forum.

Wow, they are dropping like flies.

Pairs (http://isu.sportcentric.net/db//files/serve.php?id=2182)
Martiusheva/Rogonov (RUS) are crossed out of Skate Canada. Rumor is that they have split.
Sulej/Chruschinski (POL) are crossed out of TEB. Rumor is that they have split.
Kostenko/Talan (UKR) replace James/Coia (FRA) at TEB.
Brodeur/Mattatall (CAN) replaced Berton/Hotarek at NHK Trophy.

Open spots at Skate Canada and TEB for pairs.

Dance (http://isu.sportcentric.net/db//files/serve.php?id=2181)
Alessandrini/Vaturi (ITA) are crossed out of both of their events (Skate Canada and Skate America).
Arnold/Trojek (CAN) are host picks to Skate Canada that replace Virtue/Moir.

Open spots at Skate Canada and Skate America for Dance.

It has been rumored that M/R may be splitting as well -- see page 6 of the Russian news thread: http://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/showthread.php?t=75218&page=6

NOO, I was soo hoping for a nice first senior season for Alessandrini & Vaturi :(. Wihdraw from BOTH events for them can only mean bad news (serious injury or split).

Im sad about Martiusheva&Rogonov too. they were soo lovely, but she was sadly another jumpless princess :(

I am :( too about Alessandrini/Vaturi. I enjoyed them very much at Junior Worlds last season. They were already very mature for a junior team.

If anyone has any news??

I just watched NHK Trophy on CBC and was I the only one straining to hear the music over the commentator's continuous talking?

If most recent changes are accurate (D/D out of SC, MT/M and Simpson/Miller added to SC, and Hecht/Trefil in at TEB), then that leaves 11 teams (aside from host countries picking unknown/unranked home skaters for their home slots) for a potential 2nd assignment if any more spots open up-

Zhang/Toth
Kadleckova/Bidar
Kostenko/Talan
Stolbova/Klimov
Novik/Kuznetsov
Hecht/Trefil
Zhang/Wang
Hausch/Wende
Hole/Johnson
Lawrence/Swiegers
Ivanova/Zalevski

(and a 12th team, Bobak/Penasse of CAN, has yet to receive an assignment)

The above page confirms H/T at TEB.

No, you're not alone. I've been having the same problem - between the three of them chattering away, there barely seems to be a moment when I could actually hear the music. And then they'd start talking about artistry.... Well, it would be nice if we could have the chance to judge that for ourselves.
