Thanks sigrid. I just saw that too.

Artem Borodulin (RUS) has been crossed out of NHK Trophy. No replacement yet. The replacement cannot be a skater from Japan because Japan already has 3 entries in Men at NHK Trophy. Borodulin still has a spot at Rostelecom Cup.

Possible replacements for Virtue/Moir

Skate Canada
Skate Canada will probably replace V/M with a "host picked" Canadian team. The alternates list is getting short.

TEB
There are already 3 French teams entered. The French Fed will probably pick a team off of the alternates list.

Alternates List with 1 assignment
(1) 36 153.50 Rachel TIBBETTS / Collin BRUBAKER USA - CAN
(1) 52 145.91 Penny COOMES / Nicholas BUCKLAND GBR - NHK
(1) 73 131.44 Xueting GUAN / Meng WANG CHN - CHN

Teams on the Alternates List looking for an initial assignment
31 155.93 Caitlin MALLORY / Kristjan RAND EST - taking a year off
37 153.22 Anastasia PLATONOVA / Alexander GRACHEV RUS - retired?
59 141.61 Carolina HERMANN / Daniel HERMANN GER - possibly taking Fall GP season off (http://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/showpost.php?p=2840054&postcount=89)?
67 135.40 Irina BABCHENKO / Vitali NIKIFOROV UKR
68 133.81 Kamila HAJKOVA / David VINCOUR CZE - taking a year off (http://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/showpost.php?p=2818330&postcount=92)
70 132.32 Allison REED / Otar JAPARIDZE GEO

Maybe Scott and Emily could train together right now, since both of their partners just had surgery. ;)

Well, if the French are as cheap in selecting a replacement for V/M as they were for the Zhangs, then I expect that Coomes/Buckland or Babchenko/Nikiforov will be the choice for TEB.

Damn, I know its post-olympic season and a tons of people retired and lots of others are going throuh injuries after such an stressful season but this is becoming the most watered down Grand Prix field ever.. oh well as always a great chance for the up and comers:P

Why not the Hermanns for TEB , they decided to keep competing a few months ago, are they still trained by Zazoui?

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Tibbets/Brubaker! :)
But I am bummed about V/M.

The "A" pool is getting smaller...

What happened to him?

So far the only info on FSO is " there is something with his leg"

Maybe I might be mixing him up with someone else but didn't he have knee surgery a few years ago before Junior Worlds?

Borodulin had a metal pin removed from his ankle back in the Spring of 2009.

More about his 2007 ankle injury here:

It's unlikely to be Coomes/Buckland as British Nationals is on at the same time as TEB.
