Blanc&Bouquet already had 2 events (NHK and Cup of Russia). How could they withdraw from one (NHK) and still get a "3rd" assignment after that even if it is a Host Pick (TEB). Can someone with lots of knowledge about Grand Prix rules explain that???

Thanks in advance...

It's probably a "deal".

I have to back up Ziggy here, in that video it doesn't show as much as it did live in the rink but it was one of the worst examples I have ever seen of a senior level skater giving up and letting everyone know. I am making no judgement on the girl and her attitude in general and I am sure she was disappointed with herself but her attitude for the second half of that programme was atrocious.
What MarieM said.

Here is what Gwendoline told (http://www.passion-patinage.com/spip.php?article533) Passion Patinage at Elite Nats (December) last year :

"In fact, for quite some time I have some health problems that made my preparation quite difficult. It is something about the cortisol (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cortisol). Doctors don't know yet, I must go and see an endocrinologist soon. Not long ago, it was physically exhausting. I could not do two programs in the same day because it was leading to a vaso-vagal episode.
Now, I feel better physically but we had to change the programs. In the short, the double axel is later in the program. That way, the triple Lutz is at the very begining. In the free program, we also changed the order of jumps and simplified the transitions for me to hold it more easily. But this condition also leads to consequences for the morale because in stressful situations, it gives me dark thoughts. Like this little tear at the end of the program. It's very hard to do the programs. This is not really me on the ice, I have to fight constantly. On the triple toe loop, even if I did the Lutz and double Axel properly, I was thinking "I'm going to crash". But I gritted my teeth and it went fine.

:cheer2: for Felicia and Taylor!

Ditto on that! :cheer: :cheer: I have a really soft spot for this team for some reason. I had a guilty feeling for them not getting any GPs despite winning Jr. Nats last year, so this is nice for them.

NHK and SC are delayed by 1 week. We're discussing this in a thread in TV Alerts:

So glad there is a one week delay for SC. I'll be there and there will be performances that I will be watching with my eyes hiding behind my hands. If my preferred skater(s) do well, I can always enjoy them the week after. I know, I'm neurotic! :P :watch:

Hum, I would see you at her place. We could say that to many other skaters, what about Kim Yu-Na at 2010 Worlds? But skaters are human and we don't have to judge them.

Well, I am very neurotic and would surely be the biggest basket case in skating, if I was competing. ;)

Yu-Na Kim actually skated to the music and presented her program very well despite the numerous mistakes.

What Nmsis has said, does put this into a completely different perspective though.

The fact that Gwendoline struggles with a medical condition must be extremely frustrating for her. Knowing that you could do so much more if only it wasn't holding you back. I personally know how frustrating that must feel. :(

I had no idea about this and I would like to apologise for what I've said before.

Zhang/Toth - What the hell were they wearing for the FS at Nebelhorn? She looked like a frumpy pensioner trying to channel Lolita and he looked like a drunken hillbilly on a prowl. :scream:

What made it even more  was that their costumes had nothing in common.

I believe the program's theme was "Miss Saigon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miss_Saigon)" so the costumes do make some sense in that context. ;)

If they matched and were both dressed as soldiers or Vietnamese bargirls it would not make sense. :P

And seriously Ziggy, you think Taylor looks like a hillbilly? It's not like he's wearing a wife-beater and overalls.

A hillbilly dressed up for a night out. :D

Hmm I must have seen an extremely unflattering photo because the costumes looks perfectly fine on these pics. ;)
