With InoueBaldwin out (I guess for good) Shhh, don't speak too soon. They could still show up at Nats. :shuffle: ;)

LOL:lol: But Im not a I/B hater.. I think they are way past their prime and should retire, but that's no my decission and if they want to continue more power to them.. plus recently I rewatched US nationals and while Im very happy EvoraLadwig got their olympic experience, I believe I&B were kinda robbed of the silver medal.:o

So Yuko and Sasha wont make the final.. that's too bad. :(.

At least RiazanovaTkachenko and GorshkovaButikov will get 2 events each yay!!:D

With InoueBaldwin out (I guess for good) this is a great opportunity for a their first GP medal for DenneyBarrett:rollin::rollin:

That's too bad about K/S...either she isn't healing as well as expected after surgery or his injury is pretty bad. Even with a horrific skate in Canada a medal should have been pretty easy to walk away with. But I wouldn't risk my health either.

Once you WD are you done for good or do they still move people around once it's started?

Men looking for an initial assignment
*Kento Nakamura JPN - 56 SB
*Alexander Nikolaev RUS - 67 SB (JGP?, no ISU bio)
Kento Nakamura will return to the JGP for his final season of ISU Junior eligibility -- he reportedly has been assigned to the 4th JGP in Japan (entries should be published next week) and possibly to #7 in Ostrava, CZE as well.

Here's the link to Alexander Nikolaev's ISU bio (he is 19 and so has aged out): http://www.isuresults.com/bios/isufs00011264.htm

Kawaguti/Smirnov were a seeded pair, and according to the GP Announcement:

3.1 Confirmation of Participation of Seeded skaters/couples
The ISU Members must confirm the participation of the seeded skaters/couples and “come-back” skaters/couples in the two events designated for points to the ISU Secretariat by August 15, 2010. If a seeded skater/couple or “come-back” skater/couple does not participate in the event(s) for which they are designated, there will be no substitute event(s).

Wow, so Y/C get NHK, which means the 2 TBD SA spots are still up for grabs...the plot thickens.

I am still hoping Cheltzie Lee will get at least on of the spot freed up by Yu-Na withdrawing

So the Japanese fed elected not to fill their TBA spot in ladies (giving McCorkell the spot)? That's really weird...they have plenty of talented ladies.
