This has been a very exciting game to say the least! I can't believe how bad the refs are! This game should be tied 2-2!! Lets go, England!:cheer2:

Still bummed the U.S. was eliminated yesterday, but I'm still proud of our team.

That was a clear goal. I am rooting for Germany but England was robbed just like the US was. Except this is more serious.

Now I have to go back and research what happened in 1966.

Im neutral, but, considering game showed in previous rounds, I thought that Germany was the fav, they have also the :grope: factor (and add that I like a lot Mr. Lw) but I confess Im happy the match is being so competitive

Goal scandal (http://estaticos03.cache.el-mundo.net/mundial/2010/imagenes/2010/06/27/1277645094_extras_portada_8.jpg) is just in all newspapers web frontpages

I second that ;)

However, I do admit that that goal was a goal.

But still... Germany's been playing so great during the first 30 minutes, hope they'll continue like that.

Told you. We better win so the nation doesn't have a collective uprising.

That was ridiculous! I could tell in real time that it was over the goal line, no replay required. How that can happen and the whole world can see it, and it's still ignored, is ridiculous in this modern age. Replays should be part of this sport now. It's 2010 and when things are obvious and everyone can see them, it becomes farcical. Too much stuff in football is missed by the refs...ie. Kaka's toss out...this missed goal...

I am neutral in this match. A goal is a goal.

I think this 'scandal goal' might be a turning point as far as some changes that need to be done, like: using the vids replay in time like these before cancelling a legal goal.

Absolutely. I want England to win, but this is really ridiculous in 2010, so maybe a scandal like this would be needed to for much needed changes to be made.

All you need is the 4th official to have a hand held TV and see the instant reply - and let the ref know - it would barely hold the game up!! Alternatively the "chip in ball" technology needs to be seriously considered at top level games!!

Would be just a shame if improvement came about at our expense (or anyone's expense really) Shades of S/P and B/S in SLC!

Irish Football Association made a call for video technology to be introduced after the Thierry Henry handball incident and were ridiculed by Sepp Blatter. I'll bet he'll be sorry now once the British tabloids start laying into him. :EVILLE:
