LOL at the comments about France. Playing devils advocate, from what I've read from other sources, the choosing of the french team and the coach has been a long standing grievance in French soccer. The problem is the coaches, they set the standard and spirti of the team and its obvious NO ONE has faith in Domenech.

No matter how much I try I cannot come up with an explanation how Domenech managed not to lose his job after the clusterfcuk that was EURO 2008 for the French.

I would love to read some :EVILLE: theories.

Article in USA Today about the North Korean loss. (http://www.usatoday.com/sports/soccer/worldcup/2010-06-21-north-korea-television_N.htm?loc=interstitialskip)

It's so sad a statement like that even has to be released; that no punishment will be dealt for a bunch of guys trying their best, but losing, at a GAME.

(((N Korean team)))

Thanks Garden Kitty. Now I get it. What can I say, this is beyond my imagination.

I really hope they can win their final match, or even draw.

Googled and found several expressions. What I like best is "plaisir sadique". I'm really amused about how it went out for the French team.

Sad for the French nation though. I think no nation earns that those people who represent their country act so childish

Well...also sad that Mexico lost, it will be very hard for them in the next round against Argentina.

I think the Colombian commentators whack off to watching Argentina play.
