I'm not against France at all (though - :cheer: Mexico!) but I'm  at some of Georgina Turner's (doing online analysis for Sports Illustrated) Twitter mate comments. Mean people, but  ... e.g. these on Henry:

71'
"Where's Henry?" asks one of my Twitter friends. Sat on the bench, under a blanket, like one of those old ladies that sits on the pier in March.

[and then]

73'
"Do you think he was sitting there on the bench thinking, 'I cheated publicly to get us here and these pathetic brats cannot even try?'" wonders Tammy Filmore. I think he's doing a sudoku under that blanket.

Domenec looks like he's $hitting himself.

France has problems. They've had them already two years ago and they did absolutely nothing about them.

ETA: At time the Mexican fans are so loud, they even drown the vuvushits!

Bah, France's succes has been despite Domenach, not thanks to him. :P

:cheer: Mexico!

It īs said that Domenech will leave after World Cup - allegedly the new coach has been selected and signed - he was being strongly criticized, just some days ago Zidane was commenting he wasnīt right now a (true) coach, that he was just selecting players. France has been in some kind of crisis for some time. Itīs a pity cause they certainly have good players.

I guess France team still has some chances to get to the next round, but the pressure is going to be incredible next match for them

just some days ago Zidane was commenting he wasnīt right now a (true) coach, that he was just selecting players. Funny that Zidane didn't criticize the one who's only selecting players while he was still on the team :blah:

From the couch criticizing is always easier I guess ;)

If he's so bad, how has Domenec had the job so long?! In the UK, we get rid as soon as someone scores one goal against us. Seriously though, he's probaby getting pot loads of money to be such a bad coach?! Methinks there could be many juicy stories coming from the French camp in the upcoming days. The subs were just standing behind the goal not even going anywhere near the bench...

Congrats to Mexico! Fully deserved. I hope both they and Uruguay go through.

Congrats to Mexico! Fully deserved. I hope both they and Uruguay go through.

All they need is a friendly draw. Thus, both Mexico and Uruguay will have 5 points, while France, assuming they win over South Africa, will have 4...Methinks Mexico-Uruguay will finish 1:1 :P
(btw, 8 years ago in Corea&Japan a draw in the last game of their group was all both Mexico and Italy needed to move on to the last 16 and they finished 1:1 nad in the last 15 minutes they weren't attacking each other, just calmly passing the ball around the center)

Anyway, I for once was rooting against France, so I am happy! :EVILLE:

I don't think Mexico would like to match Argentina in the next round :shuffle:

True! It all comes down to how big a risk they are willing to take, considering also the possibility of Uruguay beating them. (I didn't watch the game so I don't know whether Mexico are that strong or France simply sucked)...Anyway, the ball is round, as they say, so everything could happen! :D

North America, we get it that you don't get it, but couldn't care less. :P

Oh I get it. I love soccer and conversely know nothing/couldn't care less about baseball and American football and other favorites in NA.

However, I can still appreciate a nice piece of snark! :)
