Thought I'd put a thread out there. The thread for 'Telephone' was fairly popular. :)

A teaser was released last week for the video. Sorry, I'm at work and can't link to youtube. :( But it looks like Madonna's 'Vogue' meets Janet Jackson's 'Rhythm Nation' :) But I'm sure it will be unique in her own way.

OT but I wonder HOW MANY singles will be release from the album.

BTW, I've read on the Wiki entry for 'Alejandro' that she was in a dispute with her managers (?) about which song to release after 'Telephone'. They wanted 'Dance in the Dark' but she wanted 'Alejandro' and got her way...

All of Gaga's best songs have already been released.
1. Bad Romance
2. Poker Face
3. Paparazzi
4. Let Dance

Anything else after that, ie Telephone and not Alejandro, is the record company just trying to milk more money from the album.

I'm surprised in some ways that they let her release Alejandro--I'm guessing some of it is a reference to her ex, Alexander Fernandez or something like that (Alejandro/Fernando).
Hasn't he threatened to sue and is claiming that Lady Gaga's persona was all his idea? :drama:

Gaga recently broke a record for having the most singles from one album go to the top 10 on the World single chart when Alejandro went to number 8. It beat out Michael's Jackson's old record. I think she has had 7 or 8 singles go into the top 10.

Just Dance
Poker Face
Papparazi
Lovegame
Bad Romance
Alejandro
Telephone

I think that is all of them. Anyway, big record to break but she definitely has an * next to her name, IMO, since 3 (Bad Romance, Alejandro, Telephone) of those singles came from the re-release of the album and were not originally on the album.

I thought they were totally 2 seperate CDs- THE FAME, and FAME MONSTER. Here's THE FAME-

1. "Just Dance" (featuring Colby O'Donis) Lady Gaga, RedOne, Aliaune Thiam 4:04
2. "LoveGame" Lady Gaga, RedOne 3:33
3. "Paparazzi" Lady Gaga, Rob Fusari 3:28
4. "Beautiful, Dirty, Rich" Lady Gaga, Fusari 2:54
5. "Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say)" Lady Gaga, Martin Kierszenbaum 2:56
6. "Poker Face" Lady Gaga, RedOne 3:59
7. "The Fame" Lady Gaga, Kierszenbaum 3:44
8. "Money Honey" Lady Gaga, RedOne, Bilal Hajji 3:08
9. "Again Again" Lady Gaga 3:24
10. "Boys Boys Boys" Lady Gaga, RedOne 3:22
11. "Brown Eyes" Lady Gaga, Fusari 4:05
12. "Summerboy" Lady Gaga, Brian Kierulf, Josh Schwartz 4:16
13. "I Like It Rough" (iTunes bonus track) Lady Gaga, Kierszenbaum

And I think Boys boys boys was played too, don't know if it was released officially?

From Wiki:

"The Fame Monster (stylized as The Fame Mons†er) is the second studio album by American recording artist Lady Gaga, released on November 18, 2009. The album's eight songs were initially intended to be part of a re-release of Gaga's debut album The Fame. However, Gaga announced that the new songs would be available as a stand alone album, as she thought the re-release was too expensive and that, as the piece represents a separate conceptual and musical body of work, it does not need the songs of The Fame to support it. A Super Deluxe Fame Monster pack containing the two releases was released on December 15, 2009."

1. "Bad Romance" Lady Gaga, RedOne 4:55
2. "Alejandro" Lady Gaga, RedOne 4:34
3. "Monster" Lady Gaga, RedOne, Space Cowboy 4:09
4. "Speechless" Lady Gaga 4:30
5. "Dance in the Dark" Lady Gaga, Fernando Garibay 4:48
6. "Telephone" (featuring Beyoncé) Lady Gaga, Rodney Jerkins, LaShawn Daniels, Lazonate Franklin, Beyoncé 3:40
7. "So Happy I Could Die" Lady Gaga, RedOne, Space Cowboy 3:55
8. "Teeth" Lady Gaga, 3:40

Oh...I wish "Dance in the Dark" had been the single...I like that one. Alejandro is her worst single, IMO, and I'm a huge fan!

Actually, if Speechless was released, that would be amazing, but that's not going to happen in a million years. :(

It's one of mine too, but I think I heard that her label doesn't want to release it because they fear it's going to break the trend of #1's (although I don't know if Alejandro has met that yet). I understand their reasoning. If you've noticed, all of her singles have been dance pop songs. It's what has made her popular. It's also what's hot on the radio, partly fueled by her of course.

She reminds me of Madonna and Cindi Lauper in their heydays!

The Fame and The Fame Monster are considered 1 album for many things. The Fame Monster was just a re-release with a bunch of added tracks. It was neither a new CD or a tradition re-release because of the amount of new tracks on it. I think, however, that she got around the rules and it is considered the same album. Some charts may not consider it the same but apparently this World singles chart did. Who knows...

The Singles Chart must be referring to "A Super Deluxe Fame Monster pack containing the two releases was released on December 15, 2009." I doubt this "record" is official, someone probably just reported on it but surely they can not all be considered to be coming from the same album.

I watched some of her interviews on Fuse that were on about two weeks ago and she said that it was only one album.
