What an incredible waste of time and food.

Sounds like it was eaten so it wasn't wasted.

There's a burger restaraunt in west Texas that prides itself on serving the biggest hamburgers around. And if you can eat the entire thing it's free. Only problem is, it can cause renal failure due to too much protein.
So yeah, this is a gimmick, but it seems wasteful. How many cows were put down for this experiment? Not impressed.

Do you know for a fact that there were designated cows that were slaughtered specifically for this but would have otherwise been spared?

I never eat junkfood like burgers, so the picture did not make me wish to taste it at all.

What is junky about an organic, grass fed beef patty on a whole wheat bun with some fresh organic tomatoes and pickles, pray tell?

IOW, not all burgers are junk.
