I have a new baby kitty, ginger, 11 weeks... pictures below (I've kitteh-proofed the room more since the pictures were initially taken... I was kind of excited, haha).

I have no idea what to name him. One roomed suggested Gingersnap, which seems too obvious, and then when I mentioned asking FSU my whole car decided Lutz or Axel would be adorable... but I'm not sure I want to go that route

Aww - the pictures are adorable!

When my kids were little, they insisted on naming our new kitten, "Tigger."
As you can see, we were terribly original.

I don't have any name ideas, but I hope you find a perfect one.

Such a cute kitty!

Mine's ginger too, and he's JellyBean (http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=3395997&l=2f387b37ce&id=691490654)! You can have the name if you like it!

I named my little kitten Ineeki. It's Haiwaiian for hurricane (there actually is a hurricane Ineeki). I found it by going online and looking for Hawaiian pet names.

He'll let you know by his personality in a few days what his name should be. :)

Our girls have been Amber, which ended up being Ambrosia and then finally Brose (think ambrosia without the a or the ia), and Janie.

Our boys have been Salem, who ended up being Big Fella, Bobby (Brose's son), and Gary who is also sometimes known as Larry and/or Gar-Bear.

Virginia - nickname ginny. That way you still have the ginger name without being to obvious.
Or Sophia - elegant name and that is what she looks like to me.

She's adorable! I think Axel would fit as well. Something that reflects an interest of yours is fun (I named mine KC, after the city my favorite singer is from). Back when I was more into skating, I thought that if I had a cat back then, I was going to name it Wylie.

I'm a big fan of names that are not typical pet names (snowy for a white animal, socks for a cat with white paws, etc.) I really like a lot of the suggestions others have made on this thread.

It's a male kitten :shuffle: Thank you all for your suggestions! More of my friends have chimed in with 'axel' I guess I'll see if that fits over the next few days.

Everyone I know goes with composer names (music majors...) it occurred to me I could always go with Vivaldi cause he's a ginger... hmm...
