Fuller's picks make sense, but they are tough to sing. Are the coronation songs covers or cheesy originals?

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: at Crystal's repeat song! That's my favorite performance of her's all season long!

Good lord, the Nokia Theatre seems absolutely monstrous in size compared to AI's "home" venue.

Hopefully that will intimidate the crap out of Lee and decimate his ersatz "confidence" that TPTB manufactured for the Pillsbury Doughboy :EVILLE:

Crystal got a bit confused there.

Also-Crystal couldn't decide which of Stevie Nick's dresses to borrow, so she wore several of them at once.

What confused her?

I'm getting frickin' sick and tired of iconic movies from my youth being remade (rant courtesy of the ad for The Karate Kid just shown). What's next, a remake of Sixteen Candles? :yikes: :wall:

What confused her?

When she was coming down the aisle, she went past the mark where she was supposed to stop and had to go back.

ITA, but partly because it makes me feel really old when movies I grew up with are old enough to be remade.

Pillsbury Doughboy :EVILLE:

*snicker*

David Cook started out sort tubby, but slimmed down. The contest does not appear to have had that effect on Lee....

Lee singing now.

Lee sings The Boxer. It's short and nothing special. He needs to learn to perform.

Lee was ok, not particularly exciting, nothing too memorable.

I know most people here don't like Lee very much, but I love that song a lot.

But, it's representative of how much he's overcome. It's tough being a paint salesman!

I actually think it was a very smart choice for him.

It finally hit me last night (while watching DWTS) as to who Lee reminds me of......Kevin Bacon's doofus friend "Willard" from the movie Footloose - he has that same clueless, dorky, just-rolled-out-of-bed and behind-the-joke slack-jawed expression on his face 9/10 of the time.

I missed Lee's original performance of The Boxer, so I can't compare this to the first one, but......meh. That was like Ambien, especially compared to the immortal version of Simon and Garfunkel.

Glad to see that Randy wasn't overly enamored. Ellen of course is bathing her with her tongue. Kara agrees with Randy but still gives him props for being connected. Simon, "being honest" expected more passion and likens it to a kiss on the cheek when he wanted a kiss on the mouth.

Please please please, Crystal, knock their Bowersox off now!!!!

Simon speaks the truth! Holy cow. Says Lee lacks passion, to put it in my own words.
