It has been only a couple of months since winning gold medal in Vancouver, but Yu Na Kim is already aiming for her next great sporting achievement.
She hopes to join the 23 member roster that will represent Korea in the soccer World Cup to be held next month in South Africa.
19 year old Kim did not show sign of post-Olympics fatigue, as she unleased thunderous strikes that displayed strength of her coveted right foot.

"I'm looking forward to competing against likes of Christiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, and Wayne Rooney. It has been my long time aspiration to represent Korea in the World Cup as a member of the Taeguk Warriors."

:rofl::rofl:

BTW, did you see what PJ said about your comment to the thread on Yu-Na Kim's longevity?
Congrats to You & Chipso1.

And I love this response from 'Rumblefish', who said she has now won every title in skating but that her iconic status should come from bringing integrity back to the sport.

I first saw Yu-Na Kim about 6 years ago in exhibition, long before she was ever Yu-Na Kim and she was spectacular.

For me, she is a living legend.

I guess PJ and I share many thoughts about KYN, if she is referring to this exhibition in 05.

It was my first dosage of Yu-Na crack as well. ;)

It's also noteworthy that some jealous people were making hilarious remarks on other boards saying that PJ KWONG happens to have a Korean heritage. :wall:
