Thank you; Eislauffan for the review. I think they all can be really good by Russian Nationals.
Yes - thanks!

I like the music G/E are using but I wish they would just do a triple/triple or triple/ double instead of a triple/double/double...it looks too labored. Can someone familiar with CoP breakdown the point differential between doing a 3/2 vs 3/2/2 vs 3/3?

I suspect they are doing the 3/2/2 instead of the 3/2 just to get extra points, I am just not sure how many extra points they are getting.

Great videos! Thanks for posting!

I love love love K/S music! It is so powerful! I wonder who in that camp has a thing for the '2001 A Space Odyssey' soundtrack? It's the second year in a row they have used something from it.

I figured Moskvina was recycling some music since Kazakova & Dmitriev used the same music as an exhibition one year and a short program the next back in the 1990's. Exhibition performance here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ywF4ixiS2-A&feature=related). Awesome! (That said, I hope that K&S' program can get to the "awesome" stage, too!)

I wonder though why they have such trouble with the split twist? He has such tremendous upper body strength you would thing he would have no problem throwing a 90 pound girl in the air and catching her.

Their technique is crappy. The twist in the video looked a little worse than they usually do it, which is understandable if they've had limited training time due to injury. I wish the judges would stop giving them +2 GOE on this element though.

I'm losing hope for Pavlova's teams...so many gorgeous qualities but so little progress :(

Iliushechkina/Maisuradze are very young... I really like them, especially her, although her ability to rotate the SBS triples, never mind land them, seems suspect. I haven't watched them as much as some people probably have, but I've never seen her do a triple that didn't look kind of scary. Unless their 2As are even worse, I'm not sure why they would be attempting 2 SBS triples right now (maybe they feel they have nothing to lose).

Martyusheva/Rogonov are also very young, but have never been great technically, so I'm not really holding my breath for them to make a big splash as Srs. Without even ok 2As yet, where can you really go?

I think Volosozhar/Trankov look pretty good so far considering the short amount of time they've been together. I don't think they need to rush... I'm still wondering when exactly they're supposed to post an Intl score that will allow them to compete at Worlds. If it happens, it will have to be very close to Worlds time, so it's not like they have to look real great any time soon. I doubt they would have that much trouble at Russian Nationals, especially when other contenders like Mukhortova/Blanchard don't seem to be ready either.

Nope, it was in the LP, with the Prokofiev music. But maybe they've changed it to the SP now.

I assure you it was sp, I could hear Carmina Burana music.

Anyway to be honest none of these teams use the music as STOLBOVA & KLIMOV did this season and I think they have best Choreo in both of their programs.

Is there any news on the junior dance team, Marina Antipova & Artem Kudashev? They made the JGP final last year, but they haven't received an assignment yet this year.

They have at least one jgp assignment:
http://www.isuresults.com/events/jgp2010/jgpsdance.htm

They are listed as an entry for the 7th JGP in the Czech Republic, and as alternates for 3 other events prior to it.

Marina ANTIPOVA / Artem KUDASHEV RUS S S S X 0 0 00.00 0 00.00 00.00 00.00 0

Their bio has not yet been updated with new programs.

Thanks Doris. Still surprised to see them with only 1 assignment, especially after they finished 4th at Russian nationals and would probably have made the JGP final again. Looks like something must have delayed their season to not get an earlier assignment. Even though they are listed as subs at three events, logistically, I don't see how they'll get a 2nd assignment. Russia still needs to assign Kosigina/Moroshkin, who mathematically should make the final. Guessing Kosigina/Moroshkin will replace Loseva/Lunin in Germany if Antipova/Kudashev are being sent to Ostrava. Looking like Russia will qualify 5 dance teams into the final, wow.

They are not that young. She is 18 (19 in two months), he is 22. By now she should have her jumps solid.

If you are talking about the link posted here on this thread, it was not Carmina Burana, it was Romeo and Juliet.

I really like Gerboldt/Enbert! And I/K's new FD is beautiful. Interesting program from Alena Leonova too, looks like she lost some weight

It's not just a movie soundtrack, it's one of the best classical composers peice called "Also sprach Zarathustra".
Anyway, what else from the movie did they used last year?
