I'm sorry if I sound silly here, but what is everyone referring to when you talk about 'voids'?

 It's an FSU euphemism that pretty much means anything good, exciting, sexy, etc. People use it referring to having a good discussion about skating.

After their test skate in Novogorsk, Gerboldt/Enbert were compared to Berezhnaya/Sikharulidze by Mrs. Tarasova. Oh, that would be my dream pair on ice, definitely, but I think Katarina Gerboldt looks more beautiful than Elena. She is almost like a film star!

Elena Ilynich? She is gorgeous, even prettier than Gerboldt!

I think she meant Elena Berezhnaya.

Actually, all three girls are really pretty, but personally I think it's hard to beat Elena B. ;) Gerboldt looks a little too barbie-like indeed :P

I think Tuktamysheva is going to give them a run for their money when she grows up.

According to http://www.eg.ru/daily/sports/21107/, Yuko cried after she learned that Smirnov is to get married soon, and she is now considering returning to Japan in answer to her parents' home call, but Mrs. Moskvina advised Yuko against making decisions in haste.

I don't know whether the source of this news is reliable, but I feel pity for poor Yuko. :(

She can regain her Japanese citizenship if she lives in Japan for 5 years. And in those 5 years she must marry and have 2 children? Is that right?

Basically your understanding is correct. It seems that I am a cut above you in Russian translation here... I am not Russian myself...

That looks like the Russian version of the National Enquirer.

Google translate is pretty cool but some words are a little off like normal. :)

I find it hard to believe that someone he fell for so quickly, moved in with less than a month of meeting and engaged to in less than a year would have hid the fact that he had a child. Second, I don't believe for one second Yuko didn't know about her, he mentioned he had a girlfriend in an interview in Vancouver when someone asked if it was his partner he said that it wasn't Yuko. So he seems pretty open about talking about it.

I had heard Yuko mention before she needs to live in Japan for 10 years before she can re-apply for citizenship on you renounce it. I have a feeling because of her circumstances they can put her on a fast track. I hope they do, it wasn't her fault she had to leave it was theirs. They could have given her dual citizenship but they only do that under extreme cases. The child thing I have never heard of and it seems to be a strange requirement.

I feel bad for people who want to announce their engagements or pregnancy (Domnina) and people just run with it. Nice picture of them though, wedding very soon. :cheer2:
