Yes, he is in St.Petesburg. Not sure about his coach, I guess Urmanov or Rukavitsin

A few words about pairs:
Kawaguti/Smirnov started to skate again only few days ago because of Alexander's injury, but they will go to Moscow for the test skates.
Volosozhar/Trankov also will skate in Moscow. They trained in St. Petersburg recently and looked impressive at practices.
Stolbova/Klimov looked really strong and ready for the season

What injury does Alexander have? I thought last season he had a groin injury, it looked like it bothered him at Worlds.

I hope he gets well soon, it would be sad if it bothers him all season especially since she got her shoulder fixed.

Vladislav Tarasenko (b. 03.1997, coached by Mishin)
SP: 3Lz step out, 3Lo, 2A. Weird spins (leg over ear...). Forgot step sequence choreo started over. Good overall for such a young age.
LP: Good overall. Doesn't have a 3A. Doubled his flip.

Is this boy a new student of Mr. Mishin? Any more details about his biography?

No he's not new. He was coached in Moscow by Eteri Tutberidze until 2007, and since then switched to Mishin. You can see a recent video of him here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VdlnkftJ7pA

Does anyone know what 3-3s Polina Shelepen completed in her test skates? It's impressive considering she was injured not too long ago. Also her wikipedia says she's 166cm, about 5'5"-5'6", so if that's right she's quite a bit taller than she was last season so it's amazing she can still jump that well. Did anyone see her and know if she's really that tall now?

Eislauffan, Thanks for the information about Lutai.

I found the interesting video of Alena Leonova practicing. Probably it's her new program.

Thanks for the updates.

Alena Leonova's program does look interesting, it should suit her personality nicely.

Very cool -- who is the choreographer working with her? She seemed really good.

Olga Volozhinskaya was Alexander Svinin partner. (This man was Khokhlova and Novitsky coach).

Waiting patiently for the pairs testing. Well sort of patiently.
