Gerboldt/Enbert look wonderful together!
They do. Quite striking.

Dimitriev looks like a thug! Ah, the sexy symbols of my youth... they are growing old.

He does look like a whole new person.

No pun intended.

No pics of Leonova? Or Liza or Polina, I wonder how those two are doing, if they've had growthspurts or something (they were so tiny last season). I hope Liza does the 3a this season!

Wow, I'm impressed with Moskvina standing on the ice in her skate guards! How far away from the boards was she, and the bigger question is, did she lose her balance at any moment?

Great pics, thanks for sharing!:)

BTW are there any news on the Uspenski brothers or Sergei Dobrin?
Did any Russian skaters retire apart from Novitski, R/S and D/S?

I know that Dobrin is still working to be competitive this season (including getting more consistent with 4T). Don't know about either Uspenski.

Tamara Moskvina already had gone off the ice but came back for the picture and left the skate guards on, against the advice of Tatiana Drutchinina, but luckily it was just a meter or so away from the boards and she didn't loose her balance!

Re: Dobrin and Uspenski brothers: Viktor Kudriavtsev, head coach of their training group told me that Sergei Dobrin has gone off to earn money in shows. It didn't sound like he would come back, but who knows. Vladimir Uspenski is skating and I saw him practising. Alexander Uspenski is having foot surgery in Germany end of May.

I didn't go to the Figure Skating Academy as most coaches and their skaters there were already on vacation. The Academy is the training base for Alena Leonova and Polina Agafonova.
Lisa Tuktamysheva, as mentioned above, is in an off-ice training camp in Sotchi. I think you'll see the 3A from her next season. :-)

Eislauffan, did you happen to see a skater from southern California named Katarina Kulgeyko (2010 U.S. Novice ladies bronze medalist) training in Moscow with Viktor Kudriavtsev's group? She reportedly was there for two months starting in late March and was also there last year for a few weeks.

 I am not sure how reliable is this info, besides is from the beginning of May but the article says that Okana Grishchuk is one of the RSF Presidency candidates . Her candidature was a surrprise for many .

I posted this in the JGP thread, but I'll repost it here.

3 Junior dance teams have split:
Tatyana Baturintseva/Ivan Volobuiev (J9)
Valeria Starigina/Nikolai Moroshkin (J10)
Evgenia Kosigina/Sergey Mozgov (J12)

Starigina/Volobuiev have paired up. Mozgov has gone to the US and will be skating with Angelina Kabysheva. They will be coached by Platov.

Yay! She's so cute and a very lovely skater, I just hope she continues to skate for the US and not Russia or Uzbekistan :)
