Oh my god I love those V/T photos! they look so happy and fresh together! I even think it's rare to see Maxim smiles like that...and hopefully his shirt said what he thought! :D

Zhiganshina doesn't look like the same woman I remembered...but maybe it's because the last time I saw her was 2008 Worlds, it's been a while.

GORGEOUS? Really?

 In her own unique way, yes. Elena Ilynick is the real classic beauty of the Russian team though, she'll be a little heartbreaker in a few years.

To my taste I would add Martyusheva and Novik to the list of future Russian heartbreakers:hat1:

Care Bear,
In Russian, if someone has two different citizenships, we call it dual citizenships, not dual nationalities. One's nationality is determined by one's parents nationalities, not the latter citizenships one would acquired or the number of passports one could get.

Thanks for the link to the videos. I saw Ilynk and Katsalopov (sure spelling is wrong) and he was wearing a kilt but that didn't seem like scottish music.

Thank you so much for the links!

Krylova/Goncharov skating to "Hava Nagila" was a bit, uh, random, but his oversized yarmulke covered a myriad of hair sins.

I think the characters spelled "Devochka" for the young flexy girl. Her tail in the "Memories" program looked great in the spins.

I visited the Moskvina group yesterday.
Yuko Kawaguchi/Alexander Smirnov were training, but she was still careful with her shoulder. She had surgery in April and has been skating since May 10.
Katarina Gerboldt/Alexander Enbert looked much better than I expected! She has been learning fast. She has good positions in the lifts, she is landing triple throws. He is very tall, so her size (tall for a pair skater) is not a problem. With those names, they should be recruited for Germany! :-)

Sabina Imaikina/Konstantin Bezmaternykh are not a bad match as well.
The junior couple Alexandra Vasilieva/Juri Shechvuk was on vacation.

Thanks for the video links to Zhulin's show!

Thanks for the links. :)

I&K's program was funny. It's nice to see L&T too.

I like Krylova & Goncharov together. I don't care for that program, but they appear to suit each other quite well imo.

Thanks for the great news, Eislauffan! Don't know why, but I am really excited about this partnership - can't wait to see them skate together. I hope everything works out well for them!

They must be a really good-looking pair too! :swoon:

Yes that means "girl" in Russian :)

Elena Ilinykh has got that "It" quality with tons to spare - I cannot wait to see how she and Katsalapov develop as a team over the next quad :swoon: .

Sounds great! I'm glad for Katarina and wish her all the best in pairs! And please, please tell us that you have their photos ;) I can't wait to see them together!
I hope Yuko's shoulder is better now, it's nice to know she is training again!
