Amanda Dobbs was 5th at Finlandia with 131.36 . I wonder what happened. :(
She has less than a month to get in shape for Cup of China.

She skated ok. Just had trouble with the 3f, which is understandable, it's the beginning of the season. I really like her new SP, so elegant!

Here's a new article on Christina Gao (her 2 silver medals have qualified her for the JGP Final in December): http://www.goldenskate.com/articles/2010/101010.shtml

"I'm happy with my Junior Grand Prix events because I made a lot of improvements from last year, said Gao. "I didn't win, but that is not important. My scores were a lot higher than they were last year. I want to keep improving, so I hope I can place better in the Final. But overall I'm very happy with how I did on the Junior Grand Prix."

^ Cool. Adopting a wait-and-see attitude before predicting anything grand. ;)

^ I'm also very excited to see what Agnes will do on the Grand Prix circuit... She might even end up at the Final!

I know people long for the days when it was a given that the Kween was going to show up and win nationals, but I actually find it kind of exciting that there's no frontrunner among the US senior ladies right now. :shuffle: It makes the grand prix and nationals interesting, knowing that anyone could do well or poorly.

I'm really looking forward to Agnes's SGP debut, seeing if Caroline actually improved, Mirai's and Ashley's new programs, and seeing which, if any, US girls make the GPF. :watch:

Me too. The uncertainty makes it exciting. I did not think Mirai would come out and skate like she did last year after a shaky GP series, but she was awesome in Spokane!

The best in my opinion. :P

Aggh why isn't the first Grand Prix here already???? I'm dying to see what all of the senior ladies are going to put forth.

Mine too. ;)

I agree that there are so many story lines waiting to be played out this season: How much has Nagasu's injury set her back? How much has Zhang improved? How will Agnes do in her SGP debut? It should be an exciting year for U.S. ladies. :)

You forgot to mention Rachael Flatt's storyline.
