As one can easily see, her hit rate steadily decreased as time went on. Over the past 3 years, she attempted the combination 21 times in competition, hitting it 11 of those times. That's a 52% hit rate, just slightly over half. So, we were both correct.

^^ Obviously her success rate was better way back in 07 when she was itty bitty.

There was a cryptic report a couple of months ago of Caroline practicing 2A combinations. I don't recall if it was 2A-3T or 2A-3Lo.

 This I will have to see to believe. Considering how god-awful the technique is and how slow Zhang goes into her 2A coupled with how little run out she gets on the jump, to think she is now pulling off a triple jump in combination with her axel seems doubtful.

Maybe they meant 3Lo+2A sequence, like Mirai and Ashley did last year? It might actually work for her because she won't have to jam on the breaks right before she jumps because she wouldn't have any speed to start with! It may camouflage her 2A technique (a little).

Felicia Zhang should be receiving a Senior Ladies (and Pairs) bye through Eastern Sectionals in November now that she and Taylor Toth officially have been assigned to Skate America as the 3rd U.S. pair (Skate America is the same week as Sectionals). Felicia also received her first-ever JGP assignment in singles (Dresden, Germany)... which could explain her happy tweet a few days ago:

"is it Christmas already?!" lol my quote of the day :)

It took me a while, and a little web browsing skill, to find the quote, but I finally got it.

I wouldn't underestimate her talent. She's been reworking on her jump techniques, and she's doing very well in such a short period of time. Of course it's not consistent yet, but she's already landing the 3F without mule kick. Her 3L-2A Seq looks nice, and her 2A-3T is very powerful. Give her more time, and I believe she'll be back in the game again.

Though unconfirmed, this report is over 4 months old. So if it's true, she probably has made improvements since then.

Since Jenna took the time to look up all of Zhang's 3F+3T attempts, I've reposted her information on page 10 of the Caroline Zhang thread in GSD: http://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/showthread.php?t=74385&page=10

Thanks for the effort. :) I didn't realise she only did one 3/3 last season. That minuscus tear in her knee must have been pretty bad. :(

Oh, you're welcome! I was curious myself to see how many times Caroline was ratified for 3-3s, because I remember it being somewhat of an issue.

I'm so lazy..it's about time I did some work. ;)

Of the major senior U.S. ladies, we have not yet seen Alissa, Ashley, Mirai or Caroline skate. It will be very interesting to see if one of them will be the one to break out. :watch:
