I just came across Chloe Katz's June 2010 journal update on Katz/Lynch's official site: http://www.figureskatersonline.com/katz-lynch/journal.php
However, after rigorous physical therapy, four months later Joe and I are back into full training and my ankle is doing great. :)
Their first competition (since their silver medal at Ice Challenge in Austria last October) will be Indy Challenge (July 29-August 1).

I've been informed about a new Junior pair team: Lauren Gifford and Craig Norris, coached by Todd Sand and Jenni Meno in southern California. Gifford was 4th in Novice Pairs at Nationals 2 years ago and 10th in Novice this past season with Timothy LeDuc. Norris was 5th in Novice Pairs at Pacific Coast Sectionals this past season with Madeline Aaron. Gifford/Norris are a mirror pair (Norris rotates clockwise) and they have one year of ISU Junior age-eligiblity this season (he is 20).

It's difficult right now to predict how the Junior Pairs field will look at Sectionals because some of the Novice pairs that are competing Junior this summer (looking for a JGP assignment) may drop back down to Novice for Sectionals, like several teams did last season.

Carman/Reiss J5 (Coasts last year)
Cain/Reagan N1 (Mids)
Garza/Frazier N3 (Coasts last year; training in CO)
Duarte/Grafton N4 (Easterns last year; training in CO now)
Oltmanns/Santillan N6 (Mids last year; he belongs to a Coasts club)
Guterres/Schumann N7 (Coasts)
Agster/Civiello N8 (Coasts)
Sowa/Leenen N9 (Easterns)

New Junior teams known so far:
H. Denney/O'Shea (Easterns; he belongs to a Mids club)
Andrews/LeDuc (Mids)
Bautista/Harris (Coasts or Easterns; training in MA)
Gifford/Norris (Mids or Coasts; training in CA)

Per skatingforums.com:

According to wikipedia, Andrea Poapst (2010 COS Junior Lady) has teamed up with Chris Knierim, a Junior pair skater from the USA. Anyone know where this team is training, or which country they plan to represent?

I confirmed this information with Chris at Broadmoor Open last week. They will be training in Colorado Springs with Dalilah Sappenfield. If Andrea passes all her required pair tests this summer, they will compete at the Junior Pair level.

What is COS?
Central Ontario Section in Canada (they run the annual Thornhill summer competition).

Thanks, madm! :)

It was posted today in the Pairs/Dance post national breakups thread in GSD that Ameena Sheikh reportedly is skating pairs in Toronto with Michael Stewart. Sounds like they will compete in/for Canada?

Here's a Florida article about a fundraising exhibition that took place in Ellenton on June 30th: http://www.heraldtribune.com/article/20100701/ARTICLE/7011065/2055/NEWS?Title=Ice-skaters-dazzle-with-new-routines-at-Ellenton-rink
Excerpt:
Noticeably missing in action were Ellenton-trained Olympic and World Team pairs Caydee Denney and Jeremy Barrett, and Amanda Evora and Mark Ladwig.

However, the pairs clad in Team USA gear did join the skaters for a final bow.

Denney, 17, is recovering from a bout of bronchitis, and Evora, 25, has just returned from a five-week hiatus after injuring her knee at a "Stars on Ice" performance.
...
Denney's younger sister, Haven, also showed promise and fluidity on the ice with new [Junior level] partner Danny O'Shea, in their first time skating together in an exhibition.

Isn't it about time to start speculating about which pair and dance teams will skate at which sectionals? Many teams get to choose between two sections.

FYI, there are currently two threads about U.S. pair teams in Great Skate Debate...

Denney/Barrett announce coaching change to John Zimmerman and Silvia Fontana (8/23 USFS press release): http://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/showthread.php?t=74764

Inoue/Baldwin have withdrawn from their one Grand Prix event (NHK Trophy): http://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/showthread.php?t=74735

Isn't it about time to start speculating about which pair and dance teams will skate at which sectionals?
I've started a separate thread on this topic (to include dance as well as pairs) :): http://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/showthread.php?t=74733

The 5 U.S. pairs currently with byes through Sectionals in November to 2011 U.S. Nationals are:
Denney/Barrett, Evora/Ladwig and Inoue/Baldwin (top 3 at 2010 Nationals), plus Yankowskas/Coughlin and Simpson/Miller (due to the timing of their respective GP events).

I just saw Kendra Moyle listed on icepartner search. After watching her and Pottenger at the Indy Challenge I am not surprised. Is he still skating?
