Does anyone know if there is an English Worlds 2011 website avaiable yet?

Also looking for the Japanese figure skating federation e-mail address

Thanks!

I'm quite surprised that there still doesn't seem to be a website up. Makes booking plane tickets difficult when you don't know if you will be able to get tickets for the event! Any information anyone has would be appreciated :)

So glad someone brought this up, because I was trying to find information on getting tickets to worlds online the other day and information was very difficult to find. I've never gone to a figure skating event before so I didn't know where to look and the ISU website wasn't helpful.

And we still don't know where and how to buy the ticket... Hope someone post some more info ASAP.

Just looking at the ticket thread from 2007 Worlds and tickets went on sale very late - beginning of December 2006. For those of you with access to the archives:

http://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/showthread.php?t=45214

Figure skating is wildly popular in Japan right now, so I think the focus on ticketing will be on the Japanese market.

From reading the thread, it seems that a company called Frontline handled the ticket sales for people who weren't resident in Japan for 2007 Worlds. The e-mail was info@frontline.jp and the contact was a Suzi Kim. Who knows if she still works there, but it might be an idea to give it a shot?

I have friends who are going and they have been in touch with the organizing cmt and were told that tickets will cost $1000 in US funds!

You have to take into account that the yen is very strong at the moment against the US dollar.

Weren't all event tickets in LA the best part of $900?

The seats in the first 3-6 rows were $2,300 in LA, while all the other lower half of lower bowl seats were about $1,150. IIRC, the $600-800 seats were in the upper half of lower bowl and front portion of the 2nd level.

Depending on where the $1,000 tickets are in Tokyo (if they're lower bowl, or better yet, first few rows), I'd be fine with that.

The $1000.00 tickets are for the lower bowl. Upper bowl is cheaper, $750 or $800 US but can't remember exactly right now.
