Blades 1/3" short of sole length

Is it absolutely no-no to mount blades 1/3" short of the sole length of boots? How would that affect skating?

Should be ok. Mount with the toe plate all the way to the front, though - you want the blade rocker to be in correct place, so if the blade is not mounted all the way to the front, the sweet spot will be too far back.
