While no one totally sucked, I would have to say this was one of my least favorite weeks.

sometimes the only entertainment is from the suckage, take that away and there is just a null set

Wow. Siobhan is SO lucky that Shania didn't storm the stage and smack the SH** out of her... :yikes:

That's Casey. I should be porning over him as well. I'm not sure why he's not doing it for me.

Thanks. :)

I'll have to look him up on YouTube.

I predict Michael will go home. He sang so well but was as dull as ever and that is the worst thing you can do on a night when everyone meets and/or exceeds expectations. He will be the one that slips through the cracks because no one else bombed and he was the most forgettable. Too bad but he made it to the top 6 and never learned so I actually wont be too upset to see him go.

I'm having no problem getting through on Crystal's number :fragile:

Unfortunately, it wouldn't surprise me if she were in the bottom 3 along with Mike and Aaron, but will be safe tomorrow night. Then again, Lee may be in trouble, having sung in the first spot and not being overly memorable.

I've been voting for Crystal since day 1 and I never had a problem getting through her line. I guess there's a drastic loss of interest in voting/decreased viewership compared to 4-5 years ago.

I think it was the best show of the season. Although it wasn't exciting, there wasn't a truly atrocious vocal tonight. That's a first.

Tim's not in the competition anymore.

I still think Crystal was amazing tonight. She showed some really pretty high notes I haven't heard from her, and sounded like a country singer. Sure, she's better in other styles, but she was still damn good. I also liked Casey and Aaron (can't believe I said that!).

IMO, it's time for Mike or Siobhan to go home.

A side note: I absolutely HATE the "themes." Always have. Should Joe Cocker have been forced to sing Whitney Houston? No. And there's a good reason for that.

I don't think there's any contestant this season that people are polorized over. I haven't bothered to vote at all. They're decent singers, but none are good entertainers which is what TV is all about. Or maybe it's just that last season did have good singers who were entertaining by comparison. This is another Taylor Hicks year where nobody really cares. Yeah for whoever wins but now that the really bad singers are gone, I don't care who stays or who goes. None of them are break out star material.

On to X Factor. Maybe Simon will liven things up. It will be really funny if he gets scheduled head-to-head with AI.

Isn't X Factor going to be on Fox?

That's how I feel. Everyone in the Top 6 has had plenty of time to showcase for potential labels, but there's no break out star in this bunch. If their goal was to get far enough to insure they'd be able to make a living in the music business, they've done their jobs.

I thought last night was blah. Most of the singers were competent, the songs were pretty boring, and the only stand out of the night was Casey.

I was not at all impressed by Siobhan.

Mike (missed the title of this song)

He sounds pretty good, but damn, he licks his lips as much as Archuletta did :yikes: .

As much as I hate to admit it, I liked that more than Lee's song.

Shania seems as though she liked it.

Not getting Simon's "wet" analogy.

"wet" = licking lips. Maybe Simon is as sick of it as we are.

I'm sending Siobhan a fruit basket just for singing something uptempo so I dont accidentally sleep though Glee.

Her shrieking would have woken up anyone who had fallen asleep.

Overall, while there weren't any trainwrecks, it was a boring night.

The compliments were out of proportion to reality for some of the contestants, and I think one of those folks is going home because their fans won't realize they're in real trouble. I'd put in that category Mike, Siobhan, or even Lee (who I think might have been the worst of the night). Aaron should be safe given that it was one of his best performances, he's headed for the country genre, and he's the only tween dream left.

Casey was my favorite last night. I'm kind of beginning to hope that he makes it to the final two with Crystal. Aaron still comes across as a pageant boy with awful taste in music trying to play grown up, and his vocals aren't anything special. Mike's a good singer, but not great, and he has an annoying personality. Siobhan is interesting, but she's getting predictable and I'm so over the shrieking. And Lee has zero charisma or stage presence and really hasn't impressed me all that much with his song choices or arrangements. By default, that leaves Casey and Crystal. I happen to like Casey's musical taste and style. Ditto for Crystal and I think she's got very impressive vocals.
