It might be because he's played a lot of guitar since he left the Beatles?

I think he mainly plays bass when he's doing concerts. He did at the concert I saw him at. :)

Johnette Napolitano (Concrete Blonde)

Johnette Napolitano freaking ROCKS :rockstar:

Just found out that they're reuniting for a tour this summer! :cheer2: If you dig kickass bass playing, haunting vocals and enjoy seeing a band absolutely throw down live in concert, this is one you don't want to miss.

No dates listed in Canada, Peter, but they'll be in Seattle on June 24th

List of tour dates (http://www.concreteblondeofficialwebsite.com/)

I am SO there for the concert in Atlanta :summer:

Paul McCartney (the bass line in Silly Love Songs kicks it, even though the rest of the song is cr*p)
John Entwistle
Mark King (Level 42)
Dougie Hodgson (Supertramp)
Nick Seymour (Crowded House)
John Paul Jones

FWIW there was a very prevalent rumour during the height of Duran Duran's popularity that John Taylor had someone playing for him in the studio, and was miming to tapes when the band played live....and that he was only hired for the band because he looked so good.

Wheee just scored tickets to see Rush perform Moving Pictures *in its entirety* this summer! Geddy Lee remains one of the greatest bass players of all time, IMO.
