I guess that Obama wasn't able to pay his appearance fee? Evan's manager wasn't able to get face time with Rahm Emmanuel beforehand...

Both Tanith and Jeremy twitted about been in DC area. I guess the stars on ice cast is going to DC.

From an article link that I posted in the Rachael's plans thread (http://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/showpost.php?p=2742771&postcount=202):

I heard that you were going to the White House with the rest of the Olympic team. What was the coolest part about that?
--Sam, Philadelphia

RF: THE coolest thing, was when President Barack Obama had moved towards the figure skating group and started meeting each of the athletes. When he got to me, he looked at me and said "Your Rachael Flatt, aren't you?" with a huge smile. He told me he stayed up late watching the ladies events from Vancouver with his family and really enjoyed my performances! IT WAS JUST TOO COOL! The President of the United States knew who I was. And, I could hardly talk. I was just too in awe of the Obamas. And, they both are tall! Of course, I am vertically challenged, so everyone seems tall!

Mr. Abbott goes to Washington

Glad to see a Jeremy article during off-season! I'm so glad he gets to post something that isn't a tweet. :)

My nitpick is that he could improve his narrative pace a bit (there's a lot of telling in the form of "after x, y happened"). But hey, I only learned to improve on that sort of thing when I was in college.

Great picture! :)

^ Hey, thanks for posting this! :)

Is Jeremy's crossed arms and serious face trying to imitate JFK's portrait behind them?

Probably. Meryl has the crossed arms also, but not the serious face.
