Giants fans all remember what happened in 2002, they were five outs away from a championship and it all went away. No way we take a 2-0 lead for granted. Better to win it all as fast as you can before the Rangers figure out how to hit again.

So true. I still haven't gotten over it, I've discovered 8 years later, now that we're back in the World Series, lol. I'll probably be a Bonds' apologist to the day I die, but I'm not sure that finally winning the World Series will allow me to forgive Dusty Baker for 2002.

Like 2002, this is a difficult series for A's fans. My respect for Wash from his days as an A's coach means I'll be cheering for the Rangers here.

Must not get ahead of myself but oh my gosh... We're one win away from a World Series title for the first time since 1954!!!!!!!!! If, by some miracle, the Rangers push it to a Game 7, is there any doubt that Bumgarner should get the start over Sanchez? What an amazing night for him!

Who should be the MVP if the Giants win? It seems like all the guys are contributing in some really great ways, whether it be offensively, defensively or pitching.

Hey, I'm still not over that jerk Marc Crawford not sending Wayne Gretzky out for the shootout at the 98 Nagano Olympics and, in turn, Canada being eliminated in Men's Hockey that year. You have the Greatest Player to ever play the game on your bench and you don't send him out for that!?!

Can you tell I'm still bitter? ;) I do feel and understand your pain though.

Congratulations to the Canadian Connection on their well deserved Hank Aaron Awards!! :D

LET'S GO RANGERS!!!!

Random fireworks going off here in Silicon Valley suburbia. Congrats Giants! :cheer2: :40beers:

And congrats to their managing general partner and CEO, who went to a supposedly fabulous school up in New Hampshire way way back (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Neukom). ;)
