So he's Polish (also based on the name)? What can you tell us about him? :)

He's Russian and used to skate in Kustarova's group.

Was supposed to represent Poland with Justyna Plutowska but she lasted exactly one day in Moscow.

He then joined Sylwia Nowak's group and was test-paired with Natalia Kaliszek. Michal Kaliszek being test-paired with Anastasia Vykhodtseva.

And then I heard he retired and Kaliszeks are now skating together again.

Never actually seen him skate. ;)

Former singles skater Jussiville Partanen, who did ice dance with Laima Krasnitskaja last season, has apparently moved to Canada and is now doing ice dance together with a Canadian girl, Sara Aghai. Coached by Wing/Lowe!
They represent Finland and are going to compete in the Australia JGP in September.

It seems to be a good move for Jussiville! :D
Last season the season best of Laima and Jussi was 59,45.
Now in Australia JGP the pair Sara and Jussi got 95,88 :D (early season!!!).

We are finally getting the ice dance back!

early season!!!

Not just early season, but also only a few months together as a new team. It's a good start for them.

They are surrounded by good ice dancers at their training site. I think that will help provide them with the incentive they need and the examples they need to improve quickly.

Oh dear, it looks like something really is not all right, if she's withdrawing 5 weeks early. :(
:fragile: if it's gonna be last season allover again.

ETA: There's a Finnish article here http://www.hs.fi/urheilu/muut/taitoluistelu/artikkeli/Vamma+uhkaa+taas+Laura+Lepist%C3%B6n+kautta/1135269367553

Noooooo..

According to the press release from FFSA, the nerve tissue in Laura Lepistö´s leg has been irritated because the skate rubbed it. Last year´s achilles tendon problems have luckily been healed.

If her injuries don't heal, I wouldn't be surprised. She's already 23, and from the sounds of this recent string of ongoing injuries, it would appear that if she continues, she'll be heading down a Sara Meier-like path, which is unfortunate.

Except for the comeback and European championship.

Except for the comeback and European championship.

Very true. But it was still sad to see her suffer all those seasons before that happened, even if it did make her win last spring more special.
