I don´t think she will quit coaching totally. I guess she will just change the club.

Hmmmmmmmmmm interesting. I can't wait to know where then!

E.g. Timila Shrestha changed clubs to TTK just a couple of months ago and I sort of thought that was because she wanted to train with Sirkka. So quick changes for her too in many things (although I don't know for sure that's why Timila changed, I just assumed...).

Just heard that Maurizio Margaglio is the next head coach of Finnish ice dancers, starting already this spring.
I saw Maurizio today at Helsinki ice arena but didn't have a chance to speak with him.
Hope I can meet him during next days, he's in Finland to see Synchro Worlds and he's also doing an ice dancing try out for young skaters on Sunday.

^ That rocks! Maurizio has a much better head than he had feet so I'm sure we'll do a nice job there :)

No. He assisted the Finnish synchro world champions Rockettes for choreos and etc.

I believe that this is going to continue, too, because the hole family is moving to Finland.

I guess I shall have to go abd watch the Finnish ice dancer´s practices more often now. :swoon:
The Rockettes seem to be very happy for him as a co-choreographer.

Just heard that Maurizio Margaglio is the next head coach of Finnish ice dancers, starting already this spring.

That is definitely very interesting! :) It would be nice to see a bit of a boost in Finnish ice dancing again. I'm not expecting World medalists anytime soon :P but it feels like the sport has just stagnated ever since Rahkamo & Kokko.

Not any news but I just accidentally began watching a Jenni Vähämaa video on YouTube. I immediately remembered again why I haven't done it for ages. It makes my heart ache too much. :(
I hope that one day I'll be able to watch some of her performances again without feeling so sad.

Yesterday evening there was PLAN ICEGAALA (http://www.plan.fi/gaala). It will be on television tomorrow.

We saw almost all the Finnish skating stars skating while famous artists performed. Live music and skating - a good combination! :D

Skaters were:
Ladies:
Kiira Korpi (f.ex. skating her short program to live music)
Laura Lepistö :D (very nice to see her skating again, even with triples!)
Juulia Turkkila
Cecilia Törn
Beata Papp
Mila Kajas :D (skating publicly first time in 13 years and skated well!)
Men:
Bela Papp
Valtter Virtanen
Viktor Zubik
Ice Dance:
Henna Lindholm-Ossi Kanervo
Olesia Karmi-Max Lindholm
(both couples with new nice lifts!)
Synchro:Rockettes (the World Champion)
Marigold Ice Unity (the World Silver medalist)
Team Unique (almost as good as the two teams above)
+100 young synchroskaters performing together

It was a great show!!! :D

And a small extra bonus for Mila Kajas's friends. Her daughter Ilona, 6 years old, skated in Plan ice gala, too. She had a short performance with syncchronized teams.

Aaaahg, I was kind of accepted that I´ll miss the gala, too, but I did not know that I could see Mila skate!

So Laura skated in the show, but is still not going to Worlds right? I wish there was some way for Finland to get 3 spots for next year...
