I'm guessing she plans the same as last year?

3toe/3toe
3 lutz
3 loop
3 loop/ 2 toe
2 axel
2axel
3sal/2toe/2toe

It would be great if Laura added a second 3Lz in her LP.

Sure it would! But I guess she is not 100% healty yet. But she seems to be in a very positive mood, after all the injuries and then the flu.

Her lutz is not very consistent and is prone to under-rotation. The loop is only worth a little less and she has a big gorgeous 3lo that's more consistent than her 3lutz, so it makes more sense for her to repeat the loop. She couldn't repeat loop and lutz without giving up the 3t-3t combo, which is one of her strongest elements, so really I think her present layout is best.

Since when has Laura's lutz been prone to under-rotation? I don't ever remember it been down-graded.

No, you're right - I don't think it ever gets downgraded. But she's often a bit shaky on it, not landing it quite perfectly, so it may be better for her to repeat the toeloop and the loop.

Good luck to her at Worlds. :)

This just in.....here's Laura's jumping passes she plans to do at worlds:

2loop/2toe
2axel
2lutz
1flip
2sal/2toe/2toe
2loop
2axel

Isn't 1flip a new jump for her? Good for her for trying it.:lol::lol:

Yay Laura!!!

Lepisto, Korpi and Kostner. The Euro competitors aren't exactly as weak as others might think. :cheer:

Usually it's not downgraded but dangerously close to it and also not the steadiest landing. She doesn't do it in the SP, so I think that's a clear indication it's not the securest jump for her, or at least not as secure as the loop.

She usually has enough trouble landing one clean 3lutz. I think the Olympics was the only time she landed bot the 3toe3toe and 3lutz last season (or ever?).

Repeating 3toe, 3loop and 2axel makes most sense for her.

And poths, do you rewatch that Olympic free skate the most out of all Olympic ladies free skates like I do?

She also did that in the Worlds 2011.

Oh right. (I think you mean Worlds 2010?)

I always forgot that competition existed. Post-Olympic Worlds :drama:

Any particular reason you're being a prime d*ck in this thread?

How about just ignoring a prime d*ck and to talk about the Finnish skating news? Some people thrive on attention ;)

Very happy to hear that Laura will compete at Worlds. Even with the lack in training she is a better chance of helping to get the two spots again (or maybe even three...a girl can dream) than the Juniors.
I am kind of sad that she didn't keep her SP (even though she already had it for two seasons). I think it was/is a masterpiece and she had the right amount of attitude and fire for it. :swoon:
