OMD
Pretty in Pink:
definitive soundtrack of the '80s
Molly Ringwald. Duckie. Fun.
Get over the '80s
OMD should never have done the soundtrack
______________ ?

I was not aware that OMD had anything to do with the soundtrack. Nor have I ever seen Pretty in Pink. :o
What should I (and others) take from those admissions?
--that I'm an ignorant presentist
--that the 80s are so over that those born at the start of that decade don't remember them
--that it's past time to watch Pretty in Pink
some combination of the above
none of the above
purple something else

some combination of the above
--the movie is ok, but the soundtrack is THE definitive John Hughes soundtrack and arguably the best '80s soundtrack created in the '80s. It is to the '80s what the soundtrack to Garden State was earlier in this decade. So buy the soundtrack, but Netflix the movie.
Purple
people eater
irises
Purple. all by itself.
___________ ?
** The soundtrack to the movie Grosse Pointe Blank is also an amazing exploration of the '80s indie scene. I have a hard time saying one is better than the other.

I haven't seen Garden State or listened to the soundtrack, either. :slinkaway

the parental advisory label on certain CDs:
Tre-endy! Thanks, Tipper Gore! :respec:
Ugh. So trashy.
A fitting addition to some album covers, and eyesore on others.
