Interesting. Now if Skate Canada were in Victoria I would consider going to both.

What would you do for the two weeks in between the events?

It's because I put up a poll yesterday in the Trash Can. They wanted to have "winner"

Portland did a very good job IMHO for the Nationals a while back. Probably would be nice. If I am still commuting the West Coast for work I might give it a try!

I will visit my parents who live in Vancouver. They will want to see their new grandchild anyway. :)

Being the greedy type, I'd :swoon: if SC is in Victoria. :kickass:

In the immortal words of Michael Douglas (or whatever his character's name was in Wall Street): Greed is Good :P

If Mr Lanie and I weren't going to Florida for a wedding a month earlier we'd totally be going. :drama: I have family in Portland.

I'm not saying anything this time because I'm going to Nationals in Greensboro, NC. :saint:

but I do think Skate Canada and the USFSA need to coordinate this east-west thing so one is east and one is west each year, in the future.

Assuming it is at the Rose Garden, here's the arena map (http://www.rosequarter.com/Events/SeatingMaps/tabid/57/Default.aspx). Now, WHICH SIDE are the judges going to be on? I'm ready to buy tickets. :cheer2:

Ooooh, Portland? I wonder if they'll have a tribute to Tonya Harding, food carts, lumberjacks, hippies/hipsters, grunge, riotgurl, and strip clubs in the kids' group numbers :cheer2:. I'd go just to see that!

After finding Nationals competitions so LOOONG, I thought I had sworn off live skating events... But Portland is close and Grand Prix events don't last that long, right?? See y'all soon!! :D
