The first photo in the article is awesome: you can see the young man and the older man he will become at the same time.

Well, I don't know if it's an update, but apparently Vasilliev has been talking about the possibility of becoming Prez of the Russian skating federation.....which could result in a LOT of updates!

It's one of Maria's potential partners during tryout. It's reported he's French (Blanchard?) but people think he looks Karev more.

He did. But he definitely had a tryout with Maria recently.

True, and that makes me think all the more of Blanchard ! He is very flexible.
It would be so cool to see him, he deserves to finally get a chance to fulfill his potential with a good partner.

So we think it's Blanchard, but are we sure that's Mukhortova? I've never seen her that happy before. :P I think it's great! She has a very pretty smile when we get to see it. :lol:

Would Mukhortova/Blanchard be eligible for the Grand Prix next year? I believe that he has been released by the French Fed and he hasn't competed internationnally in a long time. Would they get "her points" to get seeded and get 2 GP?

It's been way more than two years since Blanchard has competed internationally, so he would be eligible to compete.

I don't believe M/Blanchard or V/Trankov could use M/T's ranking points to get GPs, but M/B could be selected for Cup of Russia as a host selection and could also do b-internationals (not sure if they'd have enough training time for that).
