I'm dying. Little Meryl and her heart shaped face. I was wondering when pics would surface when Jeremy mentioned looking at baby pictures with ice dancers on twitter. Does anyone remember the picture of baby Meryl in the Raggedy Ann or Pippi Longstocking costume that was on NBCOlympics? I wonder if it's still there, it needs to be saved for posterity.

Guys, what do you think about Ameli music for Meryl and Charlie? I am mor positive about this music choice (if this is truth), because Amelii was first step for my favorite B-A FD - Chopin. And i think B-A cant show all potential of this FD, because they didnt have time for this, but i wish someone really show dance on this beautifull music.
I think this is here music for SD, not for FD/ Your thoughts?

I would love to see Meryl and Charlie skate to Amelie as their SD. It would be a soft and beautiful look for them. I've always been fond of the music and think they could express it so well. P/B's SD sounds like a mixture of waltz and tango, so it wouldn't be quite the same.

It will be inteersting to see P-B, because i like? that Paul-Islam did tango music arragment in tango style. What Natalie and Fabial will made with there tango and waltz mix? And i hope they will have better connection between tango and waltz, than I-K had.

Yes, yes, that's the perfect wording, understated power. If they can transfer their power into even deeper edges, use it to hold positions for just a tad longer, Amelie would be a beauty. Think of the lifts they could do :swoon:. I think the lightness and airiness (and slight sadness) of Amelie would do them well, especially with their natural undercurrent of power, if they chose it. They've always been really light on their feet, I've been waiting for a program like this.

I saw "Amelie" for the first time in the spring and the thing that drew me to the movie was the awesome cinematography with the vivid colors and the soundtrack to go with it. I had to re-watch it a few times. I didn't even realize that this music had been used for skating before until now.
And regarding the tango, the "A Los Amigos" OD is my Marlie fave. I think they do tango very well :)

Amelie SD is perfect for them. I don't care if the music is overused, actually this is one of those overused pieces of music that I'm totally ok with, just because it's so beautiful. I'm sure Meryl and Charlie's SD will still be better than P/B's.

As for a possible tango FD, it kind of disappoints me. I thought they would come up with sth fresh and unexpected. So now what, latin for V/M and tango for D/W? Seems like the coaching duo is running out of interesting ideas...

Tango for the FD? Meryl has improved so much in the last two years, I think she's definitely got the chops to do it. I love Fierce!Meryl. Hope Charlie will be bringing it, too, I know he's got the power, let's see him bring the fierceness, too. Wonder how he will do his hair this year? I think the time of the flying curls might be over. Not feeling that hairstyle for a tango.

O, favorite Igor dance- tango! Sound promissing/ I think i saw 3 Adios, Nanino from Igors teams. This will be Libertango? Hope at least it will be Comparsita.
After this news Latin FD from V-M didnt sound so awfull for me :D
