Really? You didn’t look it up? He had a couple of barbs there: "Unfortunately I’m so busy I don’t get to see too much TV. But I’m sure he was great. And I didn’t know he was acting, but that’s great for him. "

Good for Evan for not making it into a big deal. If he ever comes out as gay(or bisexual) he would make a good role model for sure. :)

Evan Lysacek

Evan and Anna danced an Argentine tango. While Chadís challenge was to butch things down to get the job done, Evan needed to butch it up. "Donít submit to the woman in tango," Anna hissed forcefully while thrusting her hips into his tight, polyester pants. This caused Evan to tear up, fan his eyes urgently with his birdlike hands and whimper "I promised myself I wouldnít CRY." Well, he didnít really do that -- heís not Johnny Weir -- but rather closed his eyes and thought of Hugh Jackman. And boy did it pay off. Evan threw her around the dance floor like a cowboy tosses a whore over his shoulder after a barfight, revving Carrie Annís and Brunoís engines and leading to perfect scores from all three. It seems if youíre naturally manly like Chad, then acting soft and sweet is hot, and if youíre naturally sweet like Evan, then acting like a Neanderthal is preferred. No wonder men are confused.

Evan talks about DWTS and Johnny

I think this was a really nice and informative interview. The kind I expect and hope from Lysacek.

This made me snicker - the main page summary of the performance show from Television Without Pity...

Like a Virgin
It's group dance time and Evan spends part of the cha cha trying unsuccessfully to convince the world that he's sexy. Good thing his solo dance earned the first perfect score of the season.

Are the judges' critiques on "Dancing" hard to take?
Not at all. Hearing what the judges think gives us something to go on. Even when they're critical, I appreciate it, because it gives me goals and lets me know when I'm showing improvement.

Always love his attitude. :respec::respec::respec:

He only sleeps once every other day or every three days for total of 8 hours per week?!:yikes::yawn: Don't know how he survived with all the grueling schedule that he has.

Don't think anyone has posted this video blog yet, very endearing. Love Evan's dry and witty sense of humor. :swoon::swoon::swoon:

Loved his personality in this week's episode. Finally being cheeky and fun. And his Wall-E was actually pretty awesome.

And I'm kind of in love with his Futuristic Cha-Cha. I thought it was pretty amazing. I kind of hope that if he gets to the Freestyle that they do something kind of robotic for the dance.

Take a look at Chad-o's reaction in the pan after the dance finishes. Could he have clapped any more s l o w l y. I get the feeling that he and Evan aren't best buds.

Evan was genuinely funny in the package -- he's great when he's interacting with Anna, but he gets a pretty blank affect when he's speaking to the camera directly by himself.

He used the word "alleviated". If the audience feels he answered in character with a made-up futuristic word, he'll be okay. Otherwise, he's hosed.

Chad did that to pretty much everyone last night. I wonder if he suspects he is the next to go....

I wonder if the costume crew dislikes him -- that pimp master costume was pretty over-the-top and a little too much zing at the guy who likes to give the ladies the bling.

More Open Salon (http://www.salon.com/entertainment/tv/2010/05/11/dancing_with_the_stars_recap_week_8_open2010/index.html?source=newsletter) on Lysacek:

Evan Lysacek

Anna wants to turn Evan into the most romantic character that DWTS has ever seen, although Evan-bot will need more than some sappy 80s music to thaw the glacier that has been forming inside of his soul for years. They danced a Waltz to Journeyís "Open Arms" and he glided around the floor with a detached expression on his face, puzzling over that whole global warming fuss. When it was over, the judges continued to give him props for his technical expertise but asked him to lose himself in the performance for his next dance. Fat chance, unless that next dance happens to be some weird robot thing...

First Dance: 27

Go figure! A weird robot thing! Evan and Anna danced a futuristic cha cha -- not that anybody really knows what that means. The only thing I know for sure is that future Evan is kinda hot -- which makes me wonder why it never occurred to him to nix that middle-school hairdo of his a long time ago. Evan-Spock was right in his element, giving us the second most exciting performance of the night, behind Nicoleís first dance. Judges liked it for the most part, giving him a solid score.

Second Dance: 26
