Glee: (just like) starting over...

Finn singing The Doors AND the Beatles. Oy. I don't mind Finn, but it's like they're trying to make me hate him and his auto-tuned voice. I don't know if it's because I'm a huge Beatles fan or what, but his voice really irritated me during "Hello Goodbye." Hearing him right after Jonathan Groff didn't do him any services either.

The episode wasn't my favorite, but I still liked it a lot. I think that it's going to take them a week or two to get back into the swing of things, since they theoretically could have ended all of the ongoing storylines last episode. The last song was a bit less climactic than I thought that it would be--I'm surprised that they didn't include the "hey-la" part at the end, because they had that in the previews and it sounded really, really good.

There were some AWESOME quotes, though. And as much as I love Will and Emma, I'm sort of really happy that Matthew Morrison and Idina Menzell got to make out :).

Runner up is Brittany's "dolphins are just gay sharks" line.

That was a hoot. :lol: I was a bit underwhelmed by the episode, but so glad Glee is back!

I loved that. I thought they did a great job and used the whole cast really well. One of my top five Glee songs already. I don't even like the original version!

It's my sorority's song (don't ask) and I'm watching it with a bunch of my sisters next week. People are going to apeshit. :shuffle: :cheer:

I was a little disappointed by the episode. Too much singing, not enough funny. Haha, as you can see, I don't watch this show for the music as much as I do for the comedy. I LOVE musicals, but it's separate from how I like pop and rock music. Many of the cast have great stage voices, but ugh, hearing Lea Michele sing pop and rock songs is like death. When they all started singing "Give You Hell" the other night, I just wanted to make it stop. It was sooo bad. :/ Lea shines in things like "Don't Rain on My Parade," and "Like A Prayer" is a good one for the whole cast as it's already kind of choir/gospel-y already.

I think Jonathan will be okay. He's kind of cute, and although his voice didn't blow me away, it's certainly much stronger than all of the other males on the show so far.

Yeah Give You Hell was a little cheesy.. but as soon as my boyfriend heard the first few notes he was like "I love this song!!" so at least someone was happy :lol: To me it just didn't work with a girl singing it..

I love the song too. I just hate their version of it. :P Lea kind of has this little girl, ingenue voice, and that song is sardonic, mean, and angry with pounding guitar and drum...and it turned into a pop group number of, well, glee. Yeah...no thanks. Sometimes, the arrangements work, but sometimes, they really don't.

Ok Gleeks - The Power Of Madonna is now available to purchase and download off iTunes (not pre order - for real) - and is not surprisingly in the #1 Album slot on iTunes. It is very, very good. And I'm a die hard Madonnaphile. Probably the best work from the Glee kids so far. Lots of cool modern embellishments on the original arrangements in the covers. Definitely more solo riffs for all the different singers in the cast too. :smokin: :smokin: :smokin:
