I thought tonight was too Puck-free :drama:

But Vogue  "Will Schuester, I hate you". Made my life.

Runner up is Brittany's "dolphins are just gay sharks" line.

Sue can sing? Who knew? It wasn't nearly as processed sounding as some of the kids voices!

Tonight was genius (gay sharks? homeschooled? wheeeee . . . ) but Jane Lynch's Vogue was really quite the hootenanny homage. Can't wait for next week. They are really bringing it for the back half of the season.

Yiy, I thought it was the most all-over-the-place episode yet, very weak. The musical bits didn't really flow, and all the Rachel-Finn stuff just dropped out of the sky with no set-up. No me gusta. And I didn't like "Vogue" - I think they should have not stuck so closely to the original.

But I love, love, love all of the first half season, so I hope it's not starting to get rushed and go downhill ...

I have to admit, despite the fact that Jonathon Groff is one of my daughters major :grope: (she saw Spring Awakening, I didn't), I didn't realize who he was in that first scene in the store. However, after hearing him sing, I knew he was someone. Wow, his and Rachael's voices were magical together. After they finished, I said to her "so, that's someone, right? Because that was incredible. Of course, I got the old

I love Kurt so much, I'm hoping for him and Finn to end up together. He was the best part of Vogue, which was pretty

ITA. I expect that they will get back on their footing next week. But this episode screamed RE-SET. After several months off, they crammed a ton of twists in to the point that I had viewer whiplash. They had to show Will and Emma being happy together for a minute before parting them again. They had to show Terry to show she didn't disappear. They had to re-set the button the expectations of Regionals. They had a whirlwind romance for Finn and Rachel, a break-up, followed by a new pairing. They had the lamest set-up of a song ever (Will bringing Finn to the microphone to exorcise all of the angst he showed in the last episode when things were not cool between him and Puck and now all is OK) And that's just some of what happened.

I get why they felt they had to re-set the button, but they could have spent a little more time developing those plot points.

I love the music as always.

Not too bad- they sang all 3 hello songs my husband and I were able to come up with. We didn't know the one at the apartment.

Anyone know what the time frame of this was? The way they were strutting through the hall made me think right after regionals- and Emma/Schu hadn't kissed again yet, but then basketball was already in full swing so time had clearly passed. So confused...

time was a little disjointed with this episode...i think maybe a few weeks have passed...hard to tell.
Overall I enjoyed the episode a lot. Loved Rachel and Jesse's piano number...that was magical.

Yeah Rachel and Jesse's duet was pretty awesome! Wasn't so impressed by Finn's Jim Morrison impression though.. totally didn't suit his voice. It was an alright episode.. I think next week will be better :)

I seem to be the only one in the Glee fandom who wasn't won over by Jonathan Groff. I kind of shrugged every time he appeared on screen and wanted the original characters back. Idina Menzel, on the other hand - LOVE her! The more of her, the better.

Maybe that's because that's what the character was supposed to make you feel.

Did you also feel indifferent to his voice?

Yep. I'm a big musical theatre fan (although to be honest, I think Spring Awakening is 95% pretentious drivel overhyped by young fans), but I'm not too taken with Groff's voice. At least not yet.
