I basically like Glee for the fun factor and not how realistic it is. As I was chatting with my middle son when I started watching glee, I posted "When I went to high school no self respecting cheerleader or football player would be in Glee club" and he said "huh"? And I said "watching Glee" which his girlfriend needed to explain what that was. But then glee club back then was nothing like the show choirs of today's high school glee clubs.
So is the story line always believable? no, but then neither is CSI or NCIS or SVU. I couldn't watch ER because of the errors that I saw within the first season, so I didn't.
Regardless of how Quinn became pregnant, the storyline of being popular and then "friends" talking about her is real, the way that Kurt and his father are interacting is awesome, and the Sue/sister story line is wonderful - as in we never know what someone else is really like.
And there were story lines that made me cringe: Terri's fake pregnancy, Terri pushing pills on the kids, the use of a faked disability for Finn to get a job, the anger/violence that Shue demonstrated when he discovered Terri wasn't pregnant.
not every show will be perfect, and not every show will appeal to everyone.

My absolute FAVORITE show on TV. Thus far, Home has probably been my favorite episode with Theatricality being second. Kristin singing One Less Bell to Answer/A House is Not a Home was absolutely DIVINE!!!! I still listen to that on repeat. I loved Dream as well.
I loved the Finale as well, Vocal Adrenaline with JG singing lead on Bohemian Rhapsody was probably the highlight of the season for me, after Kristin's above mentioned song.
Side note, two friends of mine are visible on the top deck of the Balcony during the Glee Finale! :cheer2: They got tickets to be extras.
I wish Kristin was featured more often.

Has anyone posted this before? If you love Mike Chang and dogs, this might be too much for you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eX9LQu4lOeE
I might just have to die now. That was beyond cute!
I am mystified by how he does that move where he gets up from the ground seemingly by his toes, and then he just hangs there, suspended sideways.
More Mike Chang on Glee!

That scares me just a little, but I really do have an appreciation for her talent - especially after I saw a girl who skates at my rink sing this for her Glee audition. :yikes:

Yeah, Lea overdid it there. I can't watch that performance.
Instead, I watch live stuff from when she was in Spring Awakening :swoon:

Glad you enjoyed it.;)
That move you mentioned is awesome, but now that you've noticed it, you'll notice that he does it all the time to where you're like okay, maybe start reserving it for special occasions.:)
I'm hoping for some Changcentric story lines next season. I saw him in an interview say that right now, if he had to choose, he'd pick acting over dancing, so hopefully that means he's pretty good at it. I hope they don't hook Mike up with Tina. They just don't seem like a good match to me, physically or in personality. It would reek of "let's put the Asians together for no other reason than that they're Asian!"

Am I the only one who enjoyed that performance?:shuffle: For some reason, the awkward exchange with Jay-Z cracks me up.

Yeah. In SA and most of her other live performances, she's nothing like this. It makes me wonder why she (or the writers/directors) choose to make Rachel so hideously over the top.

Aren't most of the characters on Glee supposed to be caricatures and thus over the top?

Yes a bit. I see them more like stock characters like in Commedia del Arte. And they are definitely supposed to be over the top. it's one of the things I like about Glee and what makes the comedy work IMO. But to me the best thing this show does apart from the music is to balance these cliche characters with some genuine realness. They have all had moments that were so authentic and heartbreaking. Even Sue
Hey LC we agree on something as well as the fact that Lauren should have won SYTYCD :encore::lol:

Definitely. I mean specifically when she's singing. The facial contortions are beyond overdone, IMO. It comes across as fake and silly in an annoying, unfunny way. I don't think it adds anything to the character, and for me it makes her musical numbers less enjoyable.

I think that's supposed to be the point though, that's how the other members of the Glee Club view her, thus, how we're supposed to view her.

I got 84 out of 116, and I didn't even cheat. I'm disappointed in myself, I feel like I listen to the music enough where I should have gotten all of them, or at least 100+.

I got 90/116. I forgot most of the Funk, Hairography & Acafellas songs. Tells you how much I enjoyed those episodes. :P
