I certainly hope Idina's back next season. I was a little  over her refusal to pursue a relationship with Rachel, but I think that decision really revealed the heart of the character. If she can't be the center of Rachel's world, which she never will be as long as the Dads are in the picture, then she doesn't want to be in it at all. She's really that egotistical. I can imagine a storyline where the baby brings them closer together though.

I think that whole "Poker Face" number showed that there could be a relationship between Shelby and Rachel. As much as they know they can't have the relationship that they dreamed of, when it came down to singing and performing together, they really clicked.

I really found that Cory's voice seemed to improve over the mini-hiatus, and his version of Hello, I Love You was really well done (and as a huge fan of that song, I surprised myself by admitting that).

I was glad to see them giving Mark more solos towards the end. To me, other than Matthew Morrison, he has the best voice from what we've heard. Also glad to hear more from Naya as well.

I really hope they beef up Mike "Other Asian" and Matt's characters for next year (more than just Mike dancing in the background). I almost had a heart attack when they actually had lines in the last couple of episodes. I hope that next season they don't focus quite so much on Rachel and Finn. There are so many possible storylines to follow. Like Puck - it seemed at the end like he actually kind of wanted to keep the baby. And Quinn's relationship with her mom. Kurt and his father I think are always AMAZING together and I love to see them. Really, I'm kind of sick of Rachel.

And I want to smack the principal upside the head. He gets all uppity about Tina's clothes, but the football players are insane bullies and there's nothing at all done about it? Come on!

I LOLed when I saw Jonathan Groff started singing and there was a huge spray of spit that came out that you could see in the spotlights. When he did Spring Awakening on Broadway, one of the major complaints from audiences was that he was a major spitter and the first row had to watch out.

So. Much. Spitting.

I read a quote from him where he was talking about how much he sweats and he said you can ask Lea, they did Spring Awakening together for 2 years and he sweated and spit all over her. That poor girl.

What do you think Glee's Emmy chances are? What other comedies out there that can give Glee competition for a nomination for Best Comedy (I don't want to even think that they can win Best Comedy yet)? That dreck Two and a Half Men? The Big Bang Theory? Is Nurse Jackie a drama or comedy?

Your Jonathan Groff comment made me think of the episode of Friends with Gary Oldman where Joey is starring in a movie with him and he's a big spitter when performing and they end up spitting back and forth and toweling off between takes.

As for emmy chances, I think for acting nominations there will definitely be a supporting actress one for Jane Lynch and even if every actor from the show gets nominated, she's the only one with a legitimate chance of winning. There are good chances of nominations in leading roles for Lea Michele and Matthew Morrison. Personally I think that Chris Colfer does great stuff, but his great stuff is mostly dramatic stuff between Kurt and his dad, so doesn't quite fit in the comedy category. Maybe a guest nod for Jonathan Groff, but he's the only guest star that really added to the show IMO (and I say this as someone who adores Idina). The show will definitely get nominated, but IMO it won't win (and to me doesn't deserve to beat 30 Rock or Big Bang Theory... JMHO).

As for the finale, I loved the Quinn birth scene with Bohemian Rhapsody and thought it was really well done. Personally, I didn't like Vocal Adrenaline's performance though. IT was all dancing and only Jesse singing - it was a bit too 'hokey' for me. Going in I thought ND undeservedly would win with a performance below VA, just because, but in the end I thought ND did better. And actually, if Sue hadn't opened her mouth to defend ND, Josh Groban would have voted for them and they would have won!

Not only was she awesome (especially the her first episode, which is the one she submitted), but name recognition tends to play a big part in the guest categories and she just won an Emmy last year.

I'd love to see Chris Colfer get a nomination too (and personally I think his funny stuff is as good or better than his dramatic stuff), but unfortunately he's probably kind of a longshot.

Other than Jane Lynch (who's got no worries about a nomination, and will likely win), I'm mostly hoping for Lea Michele though. I know she has her detractors, but honestly, I really don't think I'd enjoy the show half as much without her as Rachel. Her category is kind of stacked though, so I won't be surprised if she doesn't get in.

Are nominations out? Did I miss them? If not, then how do you know who submitted what?

I'm so out of this stuff.

Who knew Mike O'Malley could sing. I hope GLEE takes advantage of this at some point soon.

That was the best choice because that episode was practically a love-letter to Cheno and all of her talents.

BTW, I'm so happy that Nurse Jackie would be considered in the Comedy category. Like Glee, but even more so, that show teeters between comedy and drama.

I'm guessing they will because the YouTube link says that this was the song he used to audition for Glee. So it must have been a requirement for the role that the actor could sing.

Whee! I just started watching.... season 1, episode 2! And I really like the show. Could anyone possibly tell me (PM?) if there's a place online besides Hulu where I can watch past episodes?

I think you can watch recent eps on the Fox.com site, too. Good luck!

In case anyone gets the Ovation channel, Matthew Morrison is starring as the Prince in a revival of once Upon a Mattress with Carol Burnett reversing her roles. this time she is the nasty queen, I saw her as princess Winefred ( but you can call her Fred hee hee) Zoe Dechannel is the new princess. Not sure how I feel about that casting, certainly not as broad a comic actress...we shall see next Wednesday.
