I noticed two "So You Think You Can Dance" alums in this number: Courtney Galiano (http://www.fox.com/dance/bios/all-stars/courtney-galiano/) and I think Lauren Gottlieb (http://www.fox.com/dance/bios/all-stars/lauren-gottlieb/).

ETA: Found an interview with Lauren (http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2010/06/glee-vocal-adrenalines-lauren-gottlieb-talks-wardrobe-malfunctions-injuries.html) where she talks in the article about the SYTYCD/Glee crossovers.

Strange since Lauren Gottlieb is also in VA. Hope Shelby doesn't mind that she's heavily pregant. (Or at least she was for Rehab.. then again I think she was a Cheerio in Bust Your Windows)

Only thing missing was a good Brittany zinger.

I totally  when she wore her uniform backwards when the Cheerio's were in a funk about not competing at Nationals.

I have to say the idea that Audio Adrenaline can't 'find the funk' is lame and ridiculous. And I have to say I didn't really feel the performance in anyway out-shone AA.

Vocal Adrenaline. Audio Adrenaline is a christian rock band.

OH, also, it was REALLY disappointed that they just passed off the Cheerios winning Nationals in a TV broadcast with Kurt supposedly singing Celine Dion for 14.5 minutes. The Cheerios routines they've shown early were amazing! I wish they showed the winning Nationals routine!!

I think when they don't have their "lesson of the week," the show is weaker because it hasn't quite figured out what kind of show it wants to be. Which is OK by me--the best shows never start out with their strongest season. The difference between Buffy season one and two was  in quality; I'm hoping the same for Glee.

Since it got the green light for a full second season, I'm assuming/hoping it will be more consistent in characters, storylines, and plot arcs. I would imagine too it would be more difficult to find the rhythm (har) on a musical TV show. Sitcoms, dramedies, dramas have established several tried and true models; musicals for TV usually fall flat on their asses after about five episodes, so they're kind of going into uncharted territory.

The show has also received an unprecedented pickup for a third full season, before S1 is even done. I hope this allows Ryan Murphy and his team to seriously think out their story and character arcs, much more so than they've had the chance to do this season.

Was anyone else super bothered by the lack of a coherent timeline in this episode? Will and Sue's date debacle was on Wednesday, cheerleading nationals were "this weekend" (I would assume Saturday?) yet when Will asks Kurt why the Cheerios went mental (), he said they haven't had practice in "days". Eh???

Really uneven episode. I thought Will's seduction of Sue was completely unfunny and I didn't think it was in his character to go out of his way to be cruel like that. Didn't Finn get a job already because he and Rachel went in a wheelchair and threatened the manager, or am I thinking of an earlier episode? (I've been downloading the first 13 episodes to catch up.) The storyline that suffered the most was Jesse and Rachel. First he's developing real feelings for her (the car scene with Shelly), and then he's completely absent, then he's egging her?

The show works best when it's a little bit surreal, not completely nonsensical.

It was also out of Sue's character to fall for such an obvious scam.

And WTF? to Quinn and Mercedes going from a purely hostile relationship to becoming roomies. Interesting idea, but it would have been nice to see the relationship develop over more than 2 scenes.

The trouble with the episode is that so many stories were built up and resolved so quickly that they seemed shallow, and as you said, nonsensical.

Well there was the scene a few weeks back where Mercedes was on a crazy diet when she joined the Cheerios and Quinn stayed with her in the nurses office when she fainted.

True. I had forgotten about that.

And when Quinn and Mercedes were discussing Puck and Quinn said "Do it!" but warned her about Santana. They've been friendly for much of this back half of the season, just not overtly.

The whole Quinn character has evolved from a mean girl into a sympathetic character over time, and the few interactions with Mercedes since the series came back have been part of that.
