Vampire Tina was hilarious.

I'm starting the Chris Colfer for an Emmy campaign right now. He's been just outstanding in the back nine episodes. Kurt FTW :cheer2:

I miss Jonathan Groff. They didn't even attempt to explain his absence this time.

Loved the scene with Kurts Dad. Glee is such an amazing show.

Really annoyed that there wasn't a known reason why Jesse St. James was awol, but oh well.

Really scared about the forshadowing where the two jocks that were going to beat up Kurt said "next time, we'll bring some friends too" after they were stopped by the whole Glee club. :( Leave Kurt alone!

That last scene with Kurt, his dad, and Finn was outstanding.
Though touching with still more Burt showing :respec: parenting and love for his son, I thought this scene was dishonest and awfully written. By not "bringing out" the fact that Kurt indeed has been pining over Finn for months, feelings that were the main reason why the two parents had begun dating, the writers missed the boat.

Finn should've been sympathetic in this scenario, though not his 'faggy' comments, but was instead 100% bad guy. C'mon, now, being surprise moved into a single room with a guy who obviously wanted to marry him, and then being confronted with Miss Kitty's bedroom (er, Gunsmoke reference, young ones) ... I would have been very very uncomfortable too. Good writing would've had Kurt confess/acknowledge the crush (hopefully confirming that it's over), and had Kurt, his dad, and Finn sharing some good words and each a little sorry for their actions.

Anyway, this was one of my least favorite Glee episodes. The ladies songs were all good, as was Tina's storyline. Agree, re: Chris Colfer absolutely nailing his scenes. Tricky part of an Emmy nomination will be that he'll compete in the "in a comedy" category, which has not been that friendly to dramedy actors in general.

:blah: ... those 40 year-old bullies. Lame. But at least they made Finn look young.

True. Glee was in the musical or comedy section at the Golden Globes, but it really should be in the dramatic category for the Emmys. Chris Colfer should win hands down for his portrayal of Kurt, irrespective of whom he'll be nominated against.

Australia is two weeks behind the show in the States. Laryngitus screens tomorrow night, so I'm looking forward to that, Dream On and Theatricality.

I never watch tv, but this show has been a saviour for me.

I'm gay and I thought the Kurt/Finn/Burt scene was a bit uncomfortable to watch. Mainly not because Finn used the f* word but more of Kurt was written as the ultimate victim after he rubbed it in Finn's face repeatedly and this time at a very personal level (i.e. personal living space). Finn using the f* word was uncalled for but I thought he was totally provoked and I understood where he's coming from but Kurt's issue was not addressed at all. As Beefcake said, it was not written well.

LOVED the GaGa costumes + Vampire Tina, hated their rendition of Poker Face... :(

I 1st thought the same thing re Kurt's issues not being addressed but OTOH, there is an arrogance in thinking that all gay people of the same sex as you are dying to get into your pants. (FYI..they are not.)

The room was a horror & Finn rightfully hated it but I thought Kurt was acting like a younger brother with the wipes, and was not coming onto Finn. Obviously he realizes that Finn likes girls & it's never going to happen....I didn't think he was acting like he still has a crush on Finn. So I thought Finn over-reacted & could have expressed himself better. The "faggy" comment was like nails on a blackboard to me even before Kurt's dad called him on it.

BTW I hated the room too. I thought it was OTT because there is no way that the Kurt character could have thought that Finn would like it.

You know, I completely agree. The only thing I was thinking was that Finn never really meant any of it. I sensed that he knew he was hurting Kurt, felt bad, and couldn't stop himself. That he was upset and angry about the way the "jocks" treated him and he took it out on Kurt. He was wrong for doing that, but I got the feeling he knew he was wrong even while he was saying it.

I think that when you know someone has a "crush" on you, you tend to turn everything they do into some sort of proof of that crush.. and that's how Finn was reacting. So while an outsider may have seen Kurt's "Moist Towelette" offer as a friendly/brotherly type thing, Finn saw it as another case of Kurt hitting on him. He may have overreacted, but because of the football guys harassing him and Kurt's attention he was uber sensitive. You have to remember he's playing a teenage guy.. I thought he reacted the way a typical teenage guy would in that situation. It doesn't mean he's a bad guy, I think he knew what he was saying was wrong, he was just extremely sensitive.

The other line I loved was from Kurt: "and we have a jumper."

Even better was when Kurt mentioned that Gaga changes looks more often than Brittney changes sex partners and her response was a very matter-of-fact "that's true."

That and the line about Asian vampires being the worst kind had me on the floor.

I thought the Kurt/Finn/Kurt's dad scene was excellent, and I love Chris Colfer's acting, but must every episode of Glee be a Very Special Episode and/or Special Guest Star? All in all, I preferred last fall's episodes, when the show didn't take itself so damn seriously, and the characters were flawed but lovably so.

Plus, the Lady Gaga storyline didn't make sense to me. Weren't the kids up in arms when their competitors stole their numbers last fall? Then why was it ok for Rachel to spy on Vocal Adrenaline and Will then giving the kids a Lady Gaga assignment? Were they seriously thinking of doing a Lady Gaga number when they already know VA is going in that direction? Unless they were fine with the hypocritical idea-stealing, it seemed like a complete waste of time to me, especially with Regionals right around the corner. And yeah, they did some Kiss numbers too, but only after the boys talked Will into it. (Usually I try to ignore the storyline and focus on the music, but I loathe Lady Gaga and Kiss, so...)

First episode in a long while that I loved. You should all know now that I am the biggest Brittney (sp?) in the world. Have loved her since the beginning, and I loved the actress who plays her on SYTYCD.

Loved:

1. Idina's 'Funny Girl'
2. 'Poker Face' duet. So poignant.
3. 'Bad Romance'.
4. Santana rocking her costume.
5. Brittney: "You look terrible. I look awesome." P.S. I am so getting her costume.
6. Kurt's dad's rant. Not what inspired it, but the rant was a beautiful message.
7. Tina's vampire. "I think that he believes that vampires are real."
8. 'My balls are starting to fall off.'
9. 'He's always just kind of around' explaining the pianist.

I am so buying all of the songs from last night.
