Best episode of the season for me, maybe even since it started. I loved NPH and the Idina/Lea duet was fantastic. Excited for Gaga next week!

"Dream on" woke up my cat. The not-Gokey scream part. She looks impressed. (just downloaded in iTunes)
Your cat is smarter than my cat. My cat jumped on the credenza in front of the wall TV at one point in Dream On, blocking the screen. He's lucky to be alive.
But I did notice he was a lot more attentive than during "Lost." Obviously smoke monsters are boring and musicals are fascinating.

That episode was EPIC!! Well done!
No no.. it was Legen.. wait for it.. dary!
Seriously.. awesome episode. Dream On was phenomenal, as was I Dreamed a Dream.
Do you guys think Jesse thinks he's doing a good thing? He said that he started out because he thought it would be good acting practise but that he's starting to like her.. I don't think he would have kept on with it if he thought he was really doing a bad thing. He's not out to ruin her.. just help her along in finding what she has always wanted to know. I agree he's going about it in kind of a crappy way

maybe I am over analyzing it, but I think that part of the story line with jesse, rachael and rachael's mother is that what you think you want is not what you find out you really wanted.
jesse - acting experience, perhaps now wants a serious relationship with rachael
rachael's mom - wanting a career, finding in the end she missed being in a mother/daughter relationship
rachael - wanting to know her mom, but finding that she wants ???
Or maybe I am all wrong.
Any way, I loved the episode. Did anyone see Jane Lynch on Jimmy Fallon last night? I fell asleep and missed it.

I find it totally believable. As soon as I heard Idina was going to be on the show, I told a friend that she would end up being Rachel's mother. They look so much a like.
Well, I guess I've been over ruled
I agree they look a lot alike. I guess I just think they look more like sisters than mother/daughter. But, I guess a 15 year old having a child and giving it up is believable.

And while Lea is obviously older, Rachel is only supposed to be 16, so it's really not that unbelievable.

My daughter, when she heard Idina was going to guest-star whenever they said it last fall, immediately said, that's Rachel's mom. The resemblance really is there, and Idina's character is definitely mature enough looking to have been a young mom, IMO.
I'm so sorry I found out Jonathan Groff is gay. (Thanks, Newsweek.) He's adorable.

Upon discovering Lea Michele was in a show that was a musical and her character had two dads I knew it was only a matter of time before they had Idina Menzel come on as her mom. It was too obvious of a casting decision.

Yes, I agree with you, but I also think it might turn out that the Vocal Adrenaline director might both want her daughter AND want both her daughter and Jesse in her choir. Mm hmm. I think there's gonna be an episode where Rachel switches schools.

Obvious, yes. But, hasn't it been great having both Elpheba and Glinda on the show!

How amazing to see Lea Michele and Idina Menzel sing "I Dreamed A Dream" together. :cheer2:
Just goes to show how crap Susan Boyle's version is. :P

I'd never heard a duet version of "I Dreamed a Dream" (because it's not intended to be one). But it really was beautiful how the harmonies worked together. I've already downloaded it onto my Mp3 player!
