Aww I missed it. Papa Don't Preach was one of my favourite songs on the True Blue album.. much to my father's dismay I'm sure
Video Link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2Ee4sjySiQ&feature=related). IIRC, Quinn was babysitting and Puck came over to prove he was father material.

Loved Vogue of course.(BTW did anyone else think that one of the male back-up dancers was Nathan from SYTYCD season 6?)

I've been wondering the same thing.
It was discussed in the SYTYCD thread, but here is confirmation from sythycdism (http://www.sytycdism.com/2010/04/14/video-nathan-trasoras-vogues-with-sue-sylvester-on-glee/).

I actually was curious why they didn't use the two strong dancers from Glee -- Harry Shum, Jr. (Mike) and Dijon Talton (Matt) -- in the video. It looks like they used Naya Rivera (Santana) and Heather Morris (Brittany) in the video, so why not the guys?

In a spoiler note: Matt will actually speak in one of the remaining episodes. Yeah! I really would like to see those two do more and was thinking that it would be kind of cool for Glee to do an episode entirely from Matt and Mike's POV in season 2.

And I desperately want to visit the set one day just to read what all the pamphlets and books say in Emma's office, and what the trophies must say in the choir room.

Hullo, screenshot! (http://i43.tinypic.com/23h0zuq.jpg)
 Thanks for that, I didn't notice that when watching. 'Help, I'm in love with my stepdad.' :D

I love Rachel. Yeah, she's intense, but she's got so much heart. I find the way the other characters treat her just awful. :(

Agreed! I find her a rather overbearing at times, but she always has good intentions (IMO). She's definitely out there, but I dont think she's that bad.

I will agree though that other characters need more focus in the episodes- I'm dying for an Artie solo again! For me, he has the best voice of all the guys.

Despite (because of?) my luurve for music theatre I had trouble getting into this show when it debuted. But I watched this episode for the Madonna songs. And while some of the rest were meh, Jane Lynch is just seven kinds of awesome. Another 2nd City alum making it bigtime. :respec:

Quinn performed "Papa Don't Preach" on a previous episode with Puck on guitar, so I guess they didn't want to repeat the song.

ohh right, I totally forgot that.

My sister and cousin and I used to have Madonna dance parties and we could never understand why our moms hated this song and the video. We were too young to know what the lyrics even meant, it went right over our heads.

That was like me with both Mellencamp's "Hurt So Good" and Aerosmith's "Love in an Elevator." I had NO clue. And I would run around singing those at the top of my lungs!

I feel young. For me, it was "Barbie Girl" :shuffle: I didn't get why my mom didn't like it!

I can remember dancing around to "Like a Virgin" with my cousin when I was really young and she'd come to babysit me.. I must have been like 6 or 7 maybe?

In my 6th grade English-as-second-language class, the teacher used Like a Virgin to teach us vocabulary. Since the song was popular at that time, she thought we'd get into it more!

Okay, I'm new (just started watching last week.) What are ya'll talking about?

Buy, rent, or watch online at fox.com/glee ... but you gotta see those first 13 episodes. You are missing out on some classic stuff!

The Kurt centric episode still makes me

Buying or renting would be the best bet. FOX only has the latest 5 episodes up, as does Hulu.
