Thank you for the report, tapdancer! I would love to see this program, but I hope there will be videos on youtube. Did Tanith and Ben also skate in the "Strut" number? I just saw a little clip of it and couldn't figure out if they are part of it.

article about Tanith and Charlie (so cute) http://www.freep.com/article/20100402/BLOG34/100402042/1138/blog

We didn’t want anything off the ice to take away from the success we were having in competition,” White said. “It’s one thing to be dating someone in figure skating, but to be dating your competitor, it’s a strange situation for everyone not involved in the relationship.

“Tanith and I really like each other a lot, and we didn’t want to put any unnecessary pressure on us.”

Tanth said that she is moving to Michigan again and Ben is goin to stay in PA not sure why.

Oh no, I hope that doesn't mean the end of Tanith and Ben. At least they should do some professional skating, but not completely retire. That would be too hard for us fans...:(

I think they both still have lots to offer and even if it doesn't mean skating on the competitive circuit, hopefully we'll still see lots more of them in SOI and other shows for years to come. :(

Very short video of they SOI program http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=of5YgNvrtrk, I can't wait to see the program.

well, i read somehwere that they plan to do lost of shows in order to get money to go to college and move on with their carrears, in the same article Tanith said the Ben wants to go to physiotherapy school and she wants to do something conected to Comunication i guess, I'm not sure if she wants to go to college but she twitted something about been free at universty at 26 years old.

I hope they do shows for a long time bc they are in the team of very well sucssed skaters in US no matter what; also now i guess they can invest in the comentados carrear, they are really good at this, both of them (many people would be pleased with they reaplce some US commentadors :wall:)

I thought they were amazing as commentators. They had something positive to say about all the skaters-very similar style to Chris & Simon on British Eurosport. They were very good at explaining what was hard, and why it was hard, too. And most of the time they did not talk too much during the dances.

I hope they hire them for every skating event!

ITA. I can't remember ever enjoying ice dance commentary as much. I enjoy the Brit Eurosport team, but Belbin & Agosto showed how valuable it is to have direct experience with the current system and be able to explain it in real time. For instance, I was floored when they explained how Rubleva and the Zaretskys incorrectly changed the positions of their blades during footwork, bringing down their levels. Not even Tracy Wilson gives this level of detail, and they have her beat on lack of bias.

Is it possible they'll be hired for Worlds and Nationals? Is it really a matter of who Scott Hamilton likes? I don't want to believe that one person has such a death-grip on US figure skating broadcasting but it's not impossible.

Ben looks very good these days. I love the photos from Harlem. Without all this hair in his face he is really hot. And seems to be so much younger! I'm glad to hear that it is not his back which makes the problems again.
