^^^He must be so ashamed of her lasagna.
 Anyone who enjoys food should be. What does she use in it again, tomato soup?

(I feel like I've said that on this thread a few times... ) Now it's a word you'll never forget. :P
Gotta be grateful to Aunt Sandy for somethin.
She totally botched her fried chicken and collard greens on Sunday, I swear. The greens weren't even done and she put vinegar in them WHILE they were cooking....
Pork chops using the end cuts with butter beans and deli ham . And her sweet tea with rock candy .

My sister in law, who thinks she is a wonderful cook, thinks Aunt Sandy is wonderful. She made that nasty a$$ lasagna for a family get together. It was even worse than you can imagine.
We really need a vomit icon.

This person has too much time on their hands, but this is funny...
Sandra Lee-Induced Seizure (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLMNZ6xY6YY)
Dear Lord, I almost did have a seizure. It was like Lileks's Gallery of Regrettable Food come to life. Cocktail time was the best part!
As for tomato-soup-and-cottage-cheese lasagna, as an Italian, I declare that blasphemy. Cuomo ought to be jolly well ashamed of himself. :drama:
ETA: I forgot the SWEET TEA WITH ROCK CANDY!? Tell me you made that up.

Yep. I asked because it was just so "different." (That's southern speak for awful.) This is the woman who somehow makes milky macaroni and cheese. Seriously, when you take a spoonful milk runs into the bottom of the dish. I made it one time and her husband said it was the best he'd ever had. Ever since then she won't hear of me making it. I think she was a wee bit ticked off.
She actually boasted that it was a semi-homemade russipe!!!

ETA: I forgot the SWEET TEA WITH ROCK CANDY!? Tell me you made that up. No, unfortunately. She swears she got this idea from the locals in Birmingham, AL, where her magazine is published. She's put gumdrops in her cocktails too. Huge pieces of fruit and veggies - I truly believe she wants someone to choke .

Okay, I adore sweet stuff, but the thought of rock candy in tea makes me want to join in the calls for a vomit icon.

So do I, but it's the combinations that she uses - not to mention the udder redundancy. If sugar is already in the sweet tea, why bloody add rock candy, which is just sugar itself? I'd make plain tea instead and then add the rock candy.
Remember her notorious Triple Lemon Pie (http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/sandra-lee/triple-lemon-pie-recipe/index.html)? (Note: all the negative reviews have been removed by FN.)
Miz Celie, dere is a GAWD! :respec:
Andrew Cuomo's Mom Snarks on Semi-Ho's Lasagna Russipee (http://www.nydailynews.com/news/2010/06/16/2010-06-16_andys_gal_is_swell_but_oh_those_recipes_sez_mam a_cuomo.html)
Matilda Cuomo, whose son Andrew is running for governor, remains skeptical that her Italian-America boy actually enjoys a lasagna made with - Marone a mi! - cottage cheese and tomato soup.
I TOLD Y'ALL! :cheer:
"You know, maybe she puts cottage cheese because he doesn't want to put on weight, because he's watching his diet, but that's not the way you make a lasagna."
