View Full Version : Project Runway 7
I was surprised that they didn't change the rule and keep both if Heidi can do what she wants. Both collections looked more interesting than Emilio's and don't tell me they don't have intel on Emilio's. I sure hope it moves well. I thought Jay had a shot at the win. This does increase Seth Aaron's chances.
When Emilio held up the shirt and said he didn't know what color it was, I said "the color of my mother's appliances in the 60s/70s." It was like an avocado green fridge and stove set.

I would say that Emilio's clothes look like something my grandmother might wear, but my grandmother has more taste than that.
Still in shock that Jay didn't make it, or that they didn't have four go to the final again. Surely they realize that Emilio's fuddy duddy line is going to be the Michael hoochy collection of this season?

Knowing the that the judges found (/ will find) Mila's collection "good/not great," the Kors-Heidi "that was an incredible show" preview clip fills me both with hope (SA's brilliant collection left them in a fabulous trance and elevated their view of all things fashion) ...
... and dread (the "good taste" beer goggles the judges wore all season while viewing Emilio's crap were in full use and thicker than ever).

Am I the only one who isn't devastated that Jay didn't make it? Yeah, his looks were more innovative, but they're not that innovative. And if I have to hear one more spiel from a PR designer about "playing with the juxtaposition between hard and soft"... :wall:
I liked and disliked elements of both Mila's and Jay's collections. Mila's is wearable and classic with a twist, yet too boring. Jay's is cool and different, but also looks gimmicky. Overall, I think I would have picked Jay, but it's not an obvious choice to me.
Even with their flaws, both of their collections look much better than Emilio's. :yikes: I'm hoping Seth Aaron wins!

No.
Wasn't the very tall model (in Mila's striped sweater dress) from season 1 US of Make Me A Supermodel? Shannon?

No.
Me either. I really like both of their collections and agree with Heidi that Jay's show would be great if he had someone to edit it, but it's over designed and a little gimmicky in places as it stands and that's what they were judging. Mila's is very contemporary, wearable and mature but not matronly. In short, it will appeal to both the Lifetime audience and Marie Claire readership and I think that's what put her over the top. I wouldn't be surprised if she won though I'd love to see Seth Aaron win just because he's such a great guy (though his new hairstyle is a nightmare).
And I'm glad Brittney is gone. She is unpretty.

Don't miss Tim's video blog. Emilio's home visit was much worse than what we saw on the show!

I can't find his video blog...but his written blog (http://www.mylifetime.com/shows/project-runway/tim-gunn-blog/episode-13-finale-part-1-and-home-visits) contains a lot of thoughts about Emilio. :P

I think you're right. That does look like Shannon.

It's on his official Facebook page. Don't know if it's available elsewhere. Apparently, Emilio was yelling about how much the judges love him and how much better than all the other designers he is the whole time.

It sounds as though Emilio is quite a handful; aside from whatever "respect" issues he has. If he can't even cope with Tim Gunn, how would he survive in such a "cutthroat" industry?

:cat: Tim is soooo catty when he doesn't like someone. After snarking on about ESOSA (the "E" is for Ego), his obvious support for SA comes out when he writes about wanting "all" of his wards have a chance to win ... and he adds a pointed "well, almost all".
Love this description of his Seth Aaron visit expectations  ...
While anticipating my visit to Portland, Washington (outside of Vancouver), I pictured a bohemian setting: a house painted 20 different colors, a menagerie of lawn ornaments, a family of Tim Burton characters. But I couldn't have been more incorrect! I walked into pure, unadulterated normalcy; good normalcy.

I had some of the same thoughts about Seth Aaron as Tim did, after seeing him; and observing his designs.
That it was/is a "professional persona" came as an interesting surprise!

Wow. I always imagined Tim as someone very diplomatic who never says anything too bad about anyone, but he's quite direct when giving his negative opinion of Emilio. I like how he was honest without being catty. He certainly has class but isn't reserved when saying what he thinks.
