Schiavone! :cheer: She played so smart! Caroline was as defensive usual, and then her attempts at variety just flopped.

No doubt Papa Woz will say Caroline was on her deathbed again ;)

:rofl: @ my "feeling" being totally off.

Well done to Fran, she totally outplayed Caro and totally deserved her win. That was a bit of a lesson out there for Wozniacki.

Funnily enough, the coverage I've seen of Dementieva heere and in the past few months, she's looked AWFUL. And here she is with a great chance of making a GS final, her first in six years! I hope she makes it, but Fran looks GOOD!

Dementieva is the huge favorite over Schiavone IMO. It is hard to imagine Schiavone making a slam final. This has been the tournament of upsets though so who knows. Will Elena keep her nerves together to win the final if she gets there?
