Losing to Stosur on clay is no disgrace for Henin.

Actually relative to her old standards it is. The Henin of 2003-2007 would have beaten both Sharapova and Stosur on clay in about 45 minutes. Like I said I am convinced she will never win another slam. It is pretty obvious she shouldnt come back to tennis at all.

I like Nadal - I think - but watching him gives me a headache. If that makes any sense. I also feel completely knackered by his style of play. It's not exactly beautiful, but I guess that's not the point. He gets the job done. He hit a few amazing angles today against Belucci.

Nadal will win the French-Wimbledon double again this year I hope. Maybe even the French-Wimbledon-U.S Open triple.

I'd rather watch a match between two no name doubles team than Rafa, that's how much his style of play bothers me. :yikes:

Too bad Novak wasnt playing better. He is one of the only ones he has any chance vs an in form Nadal on clay but not like how he is playing now.

Now, now. There's no need to be evenhanded and rational in the face of illogical dislike. ;)
:shuffle: There's nothing "illogical" about it.

ALLEZ! The dead-eyed dishrag is done.

Well, I guess I'm the only Justine fan here. I'm sad she lost :( Stosur is really not my favorite player at all. I wanted the Henin/Serena QF!

God, Verdasco was PATHETIC. That guys attitude totally sucks. His focus and determination were non-existent today; he folded like a cheap tent. Have to think his ridiculous schedule leading up to RG has totally backfired against him.

 I LOL'ed. I know what you mean though. Watching an entire match of his is too much for me at the moment.

COME ON JJ!

Almagro wins! A bit of a shocker considering how well Verdasco did on clay prior to Roland Garros. At the same time, he probably suffered from the Novak 2009 Syndromme from overplaying.

Good run, FurBeast! :cheer2: Hope he takes it as a confidence booster before the hardcourt season.

Verdasco wasnt doing that well. He lucked out at Monte Carlo that it was a nothing draw and Novak didnt show up in the semis. He only got 1 game off Nadal in one of the all time pathetic finals. Rome with a stronger field he did pretty well to reach the semis. Then winning Barcelona with 1 good win- Soderling. Since then he hasnt done much of anything in his last now 3 tournaments. I thought Almagro would probably beat him after seeing him play Nadal in Madrid.

I must admit that I could watch her backhand all day long.
