Serena gets a wildcard for the Italian Open.
Nadal begins his defence of the Monte Carlo title, seeking his first tournament victory for nearly a year ( :eek: ) Should he win he'll be the first man in open era history to win any title seven years in a row! Another :eek: Good luck Rafa!

Gasquet loses in the 1st round, winning just two games :( Cilic, Tsonga and Verdasco all win.

Jankovic barely defeats Gallovits in 3 sets in Charleston.

Murray loses to Kohlschreiber, winning only 3 games :eek:

American WC Christina McHale got lucky, she advance as Azarenka retired, despite winning the first set 62. McHale won no points on her second serve all match :o Vika should've just skipped Charleston; obviously the leg injury from Marbella is still nagging her. Hope she'll be OK by Stuttgart.

:rofl: Djokovic has been all kinds of a hot mess in the last few weeks, though I have a feeling he may not have tried TOO hard in the semi here - I don't think he's up for facing Rafa on clay just yet; better build up some form and get him at RG (is his thinking I bet) I dunno....

Wozniacki rolled over her ankle in the semi in Charleston, and had to retire down 2-5 to Zvonareva; Vera was playing very well anyway, but what a shame for Caro, especially considering her hot form lately. Get well soon Caro and rest that ankle! In teh other semi, Stosur beat Hantuchova (what a surprise; Dani chokes after a big win :rolleyes: ) Good luck to Vera in the final; I love watching her play!

Vera was so sweet when Caro rolled her ankle, getting her ice and everything. But she would know best, she's rolled her ankle here twice! I really hope she wins and conquers this tournament after it totally ruined her season last year.

Sigh. Stosur absolutely anihilated Vera, 6-0 6-3... that was scary good; as was Zvonareva's hissy fit at 0-3 2nd set. :rofl: She KILLED that racquet, then started on the chair. Brilliant.
